49ers special teams was atrocious. Absolutely atrocious. Defense looked solid; they did a good job on Arizona's passing game, but I want to see how our pass rush looks against a QB who can actually move. Gore looked good. Vernon Davis looked pretty good. Bryant Johnson looked decent. They all had trouble holding onto the football, though. I just learned that J.T. O'Sullivan's initials stand for John Thomas. Our QB is John Thomas. Saw the Merriman news last night. Y'know, my first thought when I saw it was relief. I think the guy's a stud and had a great future ahead of him, it just seemed silly that he would jeopardize it. You think them losing had anything to do with his decision? I didn't see the game, have no idea how he played, so it could very well have been a realization that he can't go full on.
