49ers special teams was atrocious. Absolutely atrocious.

Defense looked solid; they did a good job on Arizona's passing game, but I want to see how our pass rush looks against a QB who can actually move.

Gore looked good. Vernon Davis looked pretty good. Bryant Johnson looked decent. They all had trouble holding onto the football, though.

I just learned that J.T. O'Sullivan's initials stand for John Thomas. Our QB is John Thomas.

Now starting for the Forty-Niners: John Thomas.

Looks like I should have played Rodgers.

Now if he would just thrown to Jennings a few more times! *sigh*

I know McFadden is the number two rusher but I hope he gets used enough tonight.

Poor Chad. First Brady. Now Colston is out 4-6 weeks with a torn finger ligament. Too many injuries in week 1. Let's hope that gets it out of the system. No more.

Everyone see Merriman shut it down for the year too?

Saw the Merriman news last night. Y'know, my first thought when I saw it was relief. I think the guy's a stud and had a great future ahead of him, it just seemed silly that he would jeopardize it. You think them losing had anything to do with his decision? I didn't see the game, have no idea how he played, so it could very well have been a realization that he can't go full on.

Ugh. Don't talk to me about special teams. Our punter kicked one punt that was returned for a touchdown, kicked another that went a whole 22 yards before going out of bounds inside the 50. Their punter threw a touchdown pass.

The fact we have a John Thomas for a QB just sums up how bad things are in Ninerland. Oh that it couldn't get any worse ...

One thing about actually living in Ninerland is that you can look across the Bay and think, "It could be a lot worse."

Amy didn't understand why John Thomas was a "questionable" name. I had to remind her of the Monty Python song. Then she remembered.

As bad as Oakland is, I must repeat. Detroit = 1 playoff win in 50+ years. It's been 9 years since they even made the playoffs. They were pounded 50-3 in the first round. Worst Franchise Evar!

Anyone thinking to play a Raven or Texan this weekend needs to change their line up!

This is a crazy start to the season. Seriously.

The only game that is showing right now is KC vs. Oakland.

And . . . Oakland is winning? What the hell?

Almost as strange as the Niners winning. And in OT, too! How strange is that ?!?!?

John Thomas looked pretty good, except . . . 8 sacks?!? Can we stop with the long dropbacks? And it would've been more impressive if Seattle had any receivers left.

Eight! Wow! I knew that Mad Mike didn't care about protecting the QB, but I did't think it would get that bad!

YES! My TE tied the combined points for my RB2 and all three WRs! *does the funky chicken dance*

*has no idea what the funky chicken dance is, but it can't be good*

*neither can a combined 24 points from 4 skill players*

*am beginning to wonder about the "skill" part*

*still, K kicked a 52 yarder, so that's sweet*

*yes, I'm excited about my kicker, lovely*
