~You are a *Taverner*.
Sometimes patrons want to go where everybody knows their names, though it helps when half of them are named John. When people want to celebrate, or commiserate, they gather to your establishment. You provide the atmosphere, the warmth, rum, and even an ear to bend. Did I mention the rum? Years before the language will be mangled with terms like facilitator and networking and interpersonal communication, you've overseen it all, and broken up a few bar fights, to boot.~

Good luck Jena with your new job.

My good news is that it is kitty day today! (HELP!) Three bundles of fun will tumble through our door this afternoon and no one will sleep soundly again.

Yeh, when they've stopped freaking out! I hate the idea of taking them from home when they are only 8 weeks old. I feel like I should wait until they grow up or something (you know, been to college and all that!)

weeeet! Eek

but it is. now everything can simply go on as before! Only I will still be applying to more southerly jobs, but this landlady is great so I can just stay until I give her a months notice, no contracts to get out of or anything if I do get another job.

Oh, she is brilliant for that! You should bake her a cake or something!

Possibly not so good for the person who was gonna move in after you, though...

she's okay with it - she'd lived here before me but moved in with her boyfriend, and only wanted it for three months, and the landlady said that apparantly her imminent departure was encouraging the lad to pull his finger out Razz

I wouldn't have stayed at the expense of someone else, I'd given notice so it's fair enough I should move out.
