That's wrong!

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

Is it bad I'm more disgusted by this because I think vampires should be scary than the idea of drinking blood?

This show might look dumb, but I'm really excited about "Generation Kill". It's about some of the first marines into Iraq. Written by an embedded Rolling Stone reporter. Produced by the guys that produced "The Wire". Staring one of the actual marines. Should be pretty good.

Generation Kill looks great. One of the guys I work with was actually one of the first marines in Iraq. I'll have to talk to him about the show.

I love the book series this is based on, and Anna Paquin is a really good choice to play her (though it makes me wonder if she's just contractually obligated to play all hot supernatural women from Lousiana, between Sookie and Rogue).

I hope it gets a full season before it's cancelled, and (unlike the book series) that it actually resolves itself instead of stringing out for-evah.

Yah, the market is over-running with vampire shows. Razz Like one every 5 years or so.

I wish they would've given the show based on the RPG "The Masquerade" a second season. I think it was called "The Kindred", but I can be wrong.

These vampires look like Bunnicula, no?

Yeah, it was "Kindred: The Embraced" and I really enjoyed it when I was 17 and into the RPG, but I'm told by people who have seen it more recently that it really wasn't so hot. Can we just have Buffy back?

Hee!

I watched the Vampire series for the first few episodes and was . . . not impressed. I'd settle for Angel or Buffy coming back before someone tries to regild the lily.

Wasn't there an attempt to revamp Dark Shadows a while back? For, like, it's third incarnation on TV?

"True Blood" (2007)

Fantasy. Not bad. HBO premium quality. Which means its interesting enough for TV. With a high titillation factor. Interesting premise. Although the southern-hick is not realistic enough.

Well filmed.

Cast a bunch of wannabees. Some not too bad.

I'm watching "The Kindred" now on Sci-Fi. It's horrible.

I wanted to see Tru Blood, but I don't see Eric on the list of characters. Is he not in it?

I'm not sure - but in the books, it took Eric a while to show up, didn't it?

(I'm an Eric fan, too. Though I like Pam best - she beats the pants off all the other characters imho).
