my family has their own term for it.

i have no idea where it came from, maybe babyspeek from my eldest sister.

we called it feeling "mauki"

it describes feeling not well but having nothing speciffically wrong.

my family has many in-family terms. for example my eldest sister made up a word for feeling both a bit sick and dizzy but not too bad. the way you might feel after spinning around in a caroussel too long. this feeling is called "keiner" in our family

My shoulder hurts so much it's killing me - I can hardly move, certainly can't bend to pick up stuff from the floor, & I try to avoid sneezing & coughing because that will hurt. I can't even find a position in bed that's half-way comfortable.

And of course it had to start at the same time as my weekend...

*grumble*

bruises ALL HURT. Especially two huge leg-bruises which are now a really charming shade of purple and swollen. It is hard to walk and I have to get to the doctors for stupid tetanus jab which APPARANTLY has to be done by a nurse who's presumably specially trianed for those particular needles and so it can't be done at the same time as my doctor's appointment next week, but has to be a separate appointment and has to be TODAY.

...hormones?

~You are a *Taverner*.
Sometimes patrons want to go where everybody knows their names, though it helps
when half of them are named John. When people want to celebrate, or commiserate,
they gather to your establishment. You provide the atmosphere, the warmth, rum,
and even an ear to bend. Did I mention the rum? Years before the language will be
mangled with terms like facilitator and networking and interpersonal communication,
you've overseen it all, and broken up a few bar fights, to boot.~

The adhesive on my bandage is unbelieveably itchy. This is not as funny as The Fella thinks it is. I do not have any other bandages to use.

You are a Leprechaun. I'm not even sure what you are. Whiskey-soaked reports from your baffling Isle of Ire raise more questions than they answer. Are you a dwarf? Where's your pickax? If you're an elf, why don't you cobble? You'd think with all your gold, you could invest in some land, perhaps a title, and improve your station. Instead, you hide it in meteorologically-determined locations. You're getting killed on inflation, little friend!

I'm just bored and need some diversion. Or some sun, that'd be nice. It's chilly, damp, overcast and supposedly it's almost Summer. It's like 60F out there! I should be complaining because it's hot!

My back is giving me fits. A week and a half of freedom then suddenly coming back to sitting in a chair for 12 freakin' hours does not make it happy.

I appear to have come down with the dreaded MPS: Missing Pupik Syndrome.

Oh. And I have a sunburn. Owie.

But I'll take a sunburn any time over MPS.
