Keeping this short because my AC adapter just died - running on battery power!

Real cards or digital?

Question:
Real playing cards or digital?

Choices:
I want real playing cards and am willing to pay for them
I want real playing cards but I will print them out myself
I want some type of PC game that will be totally free
I want some type of PC game and will help with development costs

Are we talking real playing cards?

I had relatives that worked for U.S Playing Card company so I am biased toward real cards.
I have never seen a social card game played with anything other than real cards.

I practice playing euchre on the computer, but it is much more fun playing in a group.

What was the question again?

Oh........

My answer: I will go with whatever the consensus is and am willing to chip in funds for whatever.

My preference is something I can buy and hold myself. I could print them out just as well too *shrug* Am really not that interested in anything digital, I don't think, but I could be swayed if someone has a really cool idea and a convenient/cheap way of pulling it off.

I like the idea of having REAL cards- and I'd be up for chipping in somehow. (Not sure how costs run in 'playing card land', but I'm wondering how we will play online without connecting the cards to the screen somehow... Masking tape maybe- so it won't damage the cards themselves.. I dunno.)
Suggestions??

((((Count me in for the consensus.)))) <--takes easy way out and dives thru the window.

Sidenote:
Could this possibly be 2 different things?
1. Playing card deck <--To hold/trade/collect
2. Online game

I'm still fuzzy- even tho I shaved.

Seriously, the whole concept seems so completely foreign and absurd here in the vast expanse of the WE.

[edit to add] We've got people in the 10s, 20s, 30s and 40s of thousands, and we're worried about editing our posts rather than having multiple posts all the sudden?

[edit to add] I didn't really edit this post, I just thought I'd put this in like this, since it was different thoughts, and rather than have separate posts, and rather than go back and edit this one, I'd just put it all in like this from the beginning Razz

*nods*

i too post twice sometimes, when i know if i edit the post the new one the additional message, which i want people to notice, might not get read.

but since artchuck guy *did* confess to trying to get his postcount up by whatever means necessary, i just thought i'd keep him in line a little....

*fwaps JP too*, just to keep my hand in.

this post has been edited since the second sentance did not actually make sense!

was this thread actually about something?

if the price is right, i'm happy to buy a pack of cards, it would be nice to have a World's End memorabilia.

if the price isn't right/timeing is wrong, it would be nice to be able to print them out as a cheap option.

I have no idea what the costs will be, but i -am- a cheap bastard and I'm/you're/we're/they're not planning on running up undesireable costs.

That said, people don't work for free.
