Red balloons on the cards? I can see that happening, but balloon-shaped cards? They'd be a bit difficult to shuffle...

Hi,- I'm working on location in a place that doesn't have internet. I've found a spot that offers WiFi- so I'll do my best to be there @ the scheduled time.
I'll send an invite-request to JP and see if I can get there a few minutes early to set it up.

I can help with some art ((even some layout if we're working with a template.))

Playing with Google Wave... hmf... it's like eating pasta that hasn't been cooked enough.

I like the all-in-one hoodyhoo Google is trying to do but it's not quite ready for consumer use. The chat works okay and polling is fine too, but the one extension that I really wanted, a realtime whiteboard or Canvas, isn't ready for release yet. Mad Plus, the inteterface is pretty, pretty cluttered that is.

I don't know if it would be better to use Google Wave or Twitter + Yahoo/Google Groups. I can start a Group - that isn't a problem - but I need to know for what service before Saturday.

I need some feedback on this.

Trying out a whiteboard program called Scribblar...

WE Card Project

You may need to sign up to see the Project Room first. :/

We can chat and draw, although the real data will prolly be store in a Group.

Y'all like?

I think if there is no feedback you should choose whatever you find most practical for the project. As long as we can all log in it should be ok. I don't know enough about either to make a judgement.

I've just signed into Scribblar...now what? What do we do there?

I will be available on Saturday for the meeting but only for about an hour because we have guests after that. Could someone take notes on what was decided and post them on the board, so people who couldn't attend can keep up?

(Minnesota Wireless is virtually dead at the moment... near zero connectivity... never thought I'd see BeeZee scream at her laptop...)

I'll play secreatry at the main Town Hall meetings.

Going to try Scribblar again when the 'nets don't suck... seriously thinking of using Google Groups and Google Chat to communicate until Wave behaves like a good little program, maybe even after.

Google Group WE Card Project

I'll lplay with this more once the 'nets work again too. Razz

What do we need? Hrm...

Organizers
Photographers
Artists
Models (maybe)
Photoshoopers/Quarkers/InDesigners
Proofreaders
Brainstormers
Writers (both creative and technical)
Humorists
People that know people that can do stuff
People that have ONE GOOD IDEA
Game players (beta testing, creating, etc)

It's too bad there's a deficiency of people like this on the Board. Razz

I have a knack for having 'one good idea', however it's not a skill that I can replicate at will Smile

I think there should be something in there about getting confused over slang/terminology/arguing whether it's a pancake or a crepe=confusion points/lose a turn. Smile

Added some legal butt-covering to the Google WE Card Project Group to protect the work everyone contributes to the project. Just in case.

I might have found a connection that'll let me check in once a day.

I've been withholding opinions in the tech dept due to excessive 'DUH'. But I'm happy to toss opinions at the process or creation of the game.

See you Sat for sure!!
: )
PS- - Furi does this "Butt Covering" make my ass look big???

Heh. Don't worry about 'DUH'. That buck stops with me.

I'm trying to find a Dave McKeanish pic I did of myself to give the Group an idea of what a lunkhead with a camera and Photopoop can do... it's lost on a DVD somewheres...

Point 'em to the WEVA Christmas Tree thread for recent examples.

This is not Dave McKeanish- but, it was handy.

I'm trying to determine whether the jack-o-lantern is afraid of your foot or your beret.

Oh, the first World's End Card Project meeting will be held on Saturday, Feb. 13th at 1pm EST (don't complain, even I have to convert EST to my local time Razz) over Google Chat. Go to our new Google Group for further details in the 'How the meetings are going to work' thread, or PM for my Gmail address.

Main business will concern who's doing what, sub-groups, and discussing ideas of what we want to see in the card game.
