Hello everyone,

I used to be on the boards all the time and then life got the better of me and I have been gone for along time (4 years) - but I missed the camraderie and so I am back and feel like I need to reintroduce myself to people - I do however remember Punkyfins (I think ) the name is familiar - I thought this might be a good thread to reintroduce myself to the boards.

Hi all.

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

Thanks, Dweller. Maybe I'll find the discipline to stay around for a while this time...life's had a lot of ups and downs and uncertainties the last year or so, but it seems to have smoothed out for a bit. Which is a relief. It's hard to overstate the effect of a steady job with a living wage on one's overall sense of wellness.

Do as many people come to WE as they used to? I was just looking at the list of recent posts and the place seems a bit emptier than I recall.

Hey, you left, so everyone else did too. *shrugs*

I've heard of this thing out there called TwitBook and I believe it's lured many a Boardie there.

Welcome back!

Thanks for the welcome, Furious.

Just Googled Twitbook. I'm guessing I need a smartphone to use this? (My cell phone is decidedly unenlightened.)

I'd say "welcome back", but I think "nice to meet you" would work better.

WE are a lot quieter than we were Grand, mostly for the reasons Furious listed. Are you friends with any Boardies on Facebook? We have a group there that's pretty active.

Thank you all for welcoming me back so happily - I remember very clearly 5 years ago when I was in a deep depression, Smaug and Dweller really helped me pull out of it. So happy to see you all again.

Wishing that we had a *LIKE button here, but glad that we don't. Keeps it REAL, and keeps the returns more intimate.

Welcome back/nice to meet you Princess of the Pumpkin Realm and Grand. ---I arrived only shortly after you left apparently- - - and have only recently drifted as well.

-I feel that once you've been inducted into this society, you never REALLY leave. Wink
Cheers!

I am friends with a couple, I think. Oddly enough, I only ever got to know the real names of a handful of boardies. What is the name of the Facebook group?

What do you mean, JP? Did I already join the group on Facebook and just forget about it? If there was an invitation involved, I don't think I have received it.
