Don't ask me.

Here's another one for you:

"I'm thinking of an animal that loves to roar at fishes, and climb trees, and climb on top of buses, but when he rides on the top of buses he breaks the buses."

Bus Lion (Felis caesiuscanii)

Found chiefly in southern Illinois, but on occasion venturing as far north as Oshawa*, the rare and elusive bus lion is the approximate size of a station wagon, only possessed of greater fangs and a more powerful roar.

Despite their size, bus lions rarely attack humans, preferring to eat bicycles, golf carts and the occasional Volkswagen. Should you be threatened by a bus lion, the best defense is to throw some cinnamon sugar on them. This makes them think that you are their natural predator, the bagel-eating girallon, and flee immediately. Explosives are also effective.

* A bus lion was once reported as making it as far north as Thunder Bay, however most believe that was merely a particularly large tractor weasel.

all these babies are so so cute!

Limertilly: A pagan deity forgotten by man and therefore banished to the realms of memory and darkness now remembered by a young girl in downtown L.A. in the form of a dream and therefore freed to reap your revenge on the people who discarded you, thereby forcing said girl to learn to use her innate yet awesome powers as a soothsayer to gather forces of the Earth to defy you and once more banish you to your cold, cold prisoooooon

Take care of those babies, as best you can, because if you're lucky, they grow:

But it's scary. I remember them looking into the washing machine like your little noodle, Noodles.

They are so huge now.

(maybe I should get them to put their heads in things for a series of photos)

They are lovely! Such gorgeous smiles!

The other day while shoe shopping for Devlin he asked, 'When do I get to be a teenager?' I said 'When you something ending in 'teen' for your age.'

He really doesn't notice the blindingly obvious...

Hey, that's honestly more confusing than it used to be. There wasn't a "pre-teen" market when we were kids, or it wasn't named as such. It was babies/toddlers/kids/teenagers, and that was about all the gradation there was.

Now, Graeme is playing games made for teenagers (Pathfinder), building toys for pre-teens (advanced Lego sets) and playing video games for young children (the UDraw games) along with six or seven other things that draw his interest. Every one of those things has an age range on them, and he's in the middle of some, at the top end of others and not even in the ballpark for a few of them.

Some of his TV shows tell him that it's a good show for his age, others say he should be 13, and some say it's for kids his brother's age.

I'm really not suprised when a kid from this generation is confused about how they are.

I just wish I could get him to stop his gender-specific reasoning.

He won't go see Beauty and the Beast with me 'cos it's 'girly'. harumph.

But I suppose that's really a topic for a different thread.
