Ha! very nicely done, Mr. Zombie. (Just how fast can you grow a beard, anyway?!)

This is the christmas card sent out by the Diamond LightSource particle accelerator near Oxford. It's rather adorable.

This needs to be re-posted every year, I think. Because it's just that awesome.

You are a Bookholder. To prompt, or...LINE! (not to prompt) --not to prompt. That is the question. Whether t'is nobler to suffer the slings and arrows of a bad memory, or to take arms against a sea of textual deviations, and...LINE! (by opposing) --by opposing them...LINE! (end) --end...LINE! (them) --end them...LINE! (to prompt, to correct; no more; and by a correction to say we end the heart-ache of a really terrible performance) You didn't have to give me the whole thing! I know it!

To be honest, the cheesy shot was done several months ago. I like to have a good supply of Goofy on hand at all times.

Second trip to the Christmas market at Charlottenburg castle ended in spending far too much money on some lovely additional christmas presents for my two best friends. They were swooning over some really excellent artists' drawings, so I bought them one each. And then they bought me a pair of mother-of-pearl earrings (the multicoloured kind) on top of my scheduled christmas present as well!
And then we had food and sweets and mulled blueberry wine, and now I can't move.

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

the parrot... ...gets tiresome.
the parrot... ...i ate him.

Your tree is beautiful, hal! As are, of course, your lovely pets. Big Grin

I'm going into wrapping frenzy. Must wrap ALL THE PRESENTS!
And I still have to make the necklace for my stepbrother's wife, dammit. I started yesterday, but I don't have a clear enough vision of it, so I ended up decorating the box instead (note to self: buy a square box next time. Round jewellery boxes are a BITCH to wrap.)

Merry Christmas! And to all those who are like my family, good luck doing your shopping tomorrow! And possibly carol singing; the inhabitants of thorpe will get a truly unique solo tomorrow due to the interestingly nasty cough I have.
