I can imagine. Many cats, (like mine), don't particularly need an excuse to be unhappy with and want to claw humans a little. I can just imagine how upset one woulf get over that.

Our beasties are actually quite mellow pillow-sleepers, even though Meadra and I are both of the toss and turn school of sleeping.

I dreamt that I had a one year old daughter with my ex-girlfriend who broke up with me about a year and a half ago. Meeting my daughter was the first time I even heard about her.
Then I had a dream that an alligator was chasing my brother, and a homeless person took up residence in my bathroom closet and started snoring very loudly. |

how often do you all remember your dreams?
i never remember any dreams if i've slept through the night. i usually only remember my dreams if i wake up constantly thru the night (or whenever i happen to be sleeping). like if i've been hitting snooze on my alarm clock every 10-15 minutes, i remember all the dreams in between. or tonight it was FREEZING in my room so i kept waking up looking for more blankets, and i remembered tons of dreams. i barely remember whether or not i've even had a dream if i sleep all throught the night. does this happen to anyone else? lookit me, i'm postin! wheee! |

quote: I've had a couple of dreams like that too. I've been piecing them together in a story I'm working on that's entirely based on all the dreams I've had. The only way I can add to the story is to have a dream that I remember when i wake up, and then find a way to weave it into the story. Of course, I have no idea where its going yet. And its taking a long time to write, but its kind of cool to watch a plot forming out of all these pieces of my subconscious. Its like my dream self is going on this adventure and storytelling at the same time. **** "Chives?" "Yes, m'lud?" "Is that Ms Ephemera hovering over the croquet lawn?" "Indeed m'lud. I don't know why, but I remember all of my crazy dreams after a night of being drunk:
Classroom lunch dream from December 3, 2004 I was in a room full of familiar faces and some that weren't all that familiar. It was a small room with three wooden school desks. One looked like a mix of Darren Spelay and actor David Cross (he was bald). One was Trevor Smith. One had orange hair. There was a subdued guitar solo playing in the background. The Darren Spelay/David Cross person wanted me to get some informaion out of Trevor Smith. I tried to talk to Trevor and apparently he didn't say anything important. We started eating lunch. Macaroni, cheese and tuna. The Darren Spelay/David Cross person and me were eating at a bar table in the back. Trevor Smith and the man with the orange hair sat at two of the desks. The Darren Spelay/David Cross person said to the man with the orange hair, "You're not supposed to be eating that. What about your diet?" Trevor Smith turned around, annoyed. Darren Spelay/David Cross said, "No, not you. The other guy" Trevor Smith turned around to the man with the orange hair. Trevor Smith said, "What are you doing?" The man with the orange hair said in a very loud tone of voice, "Would you leave me alone, already?" -------------------------------------------- Bug-a-boo |

poster dream!
I had a dream about Jen's car last night. It was after some big event, and her car was next to the curb, and she was getting ready to leave, and I was leaning in to say good bye to everyone, and I realized that somehow the passenger seat and the back seat had been folded down perfectly flat (or taken out all together), so there was this flat surface for most of the car with three posters preparing to take a nap (not sure who) with jen in the driver's seat. I waved goodbye to everyone, and that was it. _____________________________________________________________ "He's probably one of those people that thinks Elvis is dead." -- Agent Mulder |

The mystery of December 10, 2004
SCENE 1 There was a party at someone's apartment. The apartment block looks like some cheap Hotel room block somewhere on Broad St. N in Regina. I was at the party, along with the victim. A pink 1950's cadillac was there. It looked like the Cadillac that my grandpa once owned. The victim looked like Tobey "Spiderman" Magiure. There was also some sort of gay dude there. He looked like one of Claude's friends. SCENE 2 I'm struggling with the Cadillac. On the driver's side, both of the locks were rusty and the driver's side rear door was loose. There were two alarms. One was the car alarm and the other was the door alarm. I was trying to disable both alarms. The trick is the doors have to stay steady for the door alarm to shut off and the lock has to be properly un-locked for the car alarm to shut off. The more I tried to unlock it, the more the driver's side rear door would slide into the driver's door. I pulled the key out. The doors were still locked and I had enough fooling around with the driver's side. So I went to the passenger side. There, the doors and the doorlocks were in pristine condition. Just like new! SCENE 3 Outside of the apartment room, the gay dude finds a suitcase full of clothes. They were packed oddly, like they were wrapping around something. I knew what it was right away, the gay dude, didn't. "What body?", inquiries the gay man, "Where's the body?" I picked up a T-shirt wrapped around what was once Tobey Maquire's face. It felt cold to the touch. In fact, it was freezing! I knew it was his face from the imprint. Beside his face was his baseball cap wrapped up inside another T-shirt. It was a pretty gruesome feeling. Inside the suitcase was a body part wrapped up in a piece of clothing, frozen cold. Bug-a-boo |

quote: ooooh, neat! i'd definitely be interested in reading that whenever it's finished, if possible. last night i dreamt that i was going to be camping outdoors with a group of peers that night, and in my dream it was going to be very cold -- around 25 degrees fahrenheit --, just as it actually was last night. (i am NOT the camping type in waking life, especially not in cold weather!) i spent the majority of the dream thinking of what i was going to wear to sleep in, to stay warm. I was packing multiple coats, hats, mittens/gloves, blankets, etc. -- every warm piece of clothing i could imagine. |

I was talking to my GM...
She said.. " oh you have a hornet in your hair" I panicked.. Then she said '"I'd get it out except there's a wasp right next to it..." and noone would climb down out of their tree to help me... weird weird dream i had the other day . . . i can only remember bits and pieces:
i remember that i was walking down a commercial street in my town, and i saw a dead llama just off the sidewalk. i shuddered, wondered why it was there, and kept walking. as i walked i came across another dead llama, and then another, and another! and each one was lying on the ground with one leg in a duffel bag. occasionally, interspersed with the dead llamas, i would see live llamas standing around. But there were more dead ones that live ones, and whether they were dead or alive, i only ever saw one at a time. i wondered to myself why there were so many llamas scattered about in my little Georgia town, and why the dead ones were dead. They weren't bloody or obviously hurt or anything. Just dead. I was quite disturbed by the weirdness of it all. there was another part, something with some women and some kind of conflict, and a pair of shoes, but i can't remember it well. and another bit where i was on a boat in a lake, then i jumped off the boat into the water. I stayed there, treading water, but i was uneasy because the lake water wasn't clear and i was afraid something might touch my legs. |

Yesterday afternoon I dreamed that there was a flood in India. It had something to do with continental drift and the formation of mountains. I thought at first it was in the Cambrian, when all those animals got trapped in the shale. But it turned out that there were people there, and they had towns, and the towns were flooding. And people were trying to warn other people that the flood was coming, but it was hard to explain and often too late anyway.
I walked over the flood, on the water. I was walking on a tightrope made of umbillical cord. Very fast. Through strange tunnels, and there were other people in the tunnels, and they were there because they were dead and traveling. I wasn't dead though. Later in the car with my mom I heard about the tsunami in Bancock. That the shores and the beaches were flooded and thousands of people were dead. That there were cars and dead people in the hotel lobbies. In part of the dream there was a little girl. I was her mother. I never saw her face, just her little hand stretched out towards me, with water pouring down into the town which had been our home. And I realized that she was going to die, that I couldn't save her. Then it was someone else who was the mother, it was someone else's daughter. Because I wasn't strong enough. That was when I started running. I don't know if the dream was real. I didn't know about the tsunamis until late that evening. There was something distant about the whole thing, like it was happening in the far past, in a different world. Unreal. But at the same time too real. This was a dream I had after forgetting my medication. I went to sleep so the headache would go away. It wasn't a bad dream, strangely, just... unsettling. And even more so after I heard about the tsunamis. I feel bad for not feeling worse about the dream. But I never feel that bad in dreams where I actually succeed in running away. Maybe I should change that. This message has been edited. Last edited by: VegaRiad, -Natalie ----*-*-*-*---- Not really human, just turns into one on the full moon. I've totally got deviantARTs. were your dreams prophetic... or reactionary... ? ---------------------------- Official Pineapple Master General of the Realm of Unproductivity and Procrastination He said 'It's all in your head,' and I said, 'So's everything' But he didn't get it.... |

From what I understand (if understanding it is) there's very little difference between prophetic and reactionary psychic events of that sort... time being a lot less linear than we usually think it is, near past and near future are often not distinguishable by the sixth sense.
Not like I actually know. And if I had to choose, I'd say it was reactionary. -Natalie ----*-*-*-*---- Not really human, just turns into one on the full moon. I've totally got deviantARTs. (and now I sell t-shirts too |

I dreamt last night that my mother and I were walking around this neighborhood and these poor children were having a yard sale. My mom bought a book case that was holding a lot of stuff that they were selling, so we had to take everything off of it. Suddenly I realized that all of this stuff was from my own child/teenhood. We opened a styrofoam cooler and discovered a bunch of bongs and pipes from my pot smoking days...I also discovered this stuffed lamb doll that was very much loved by me. I really wanted to hold onto the lamb, and the kids told me that I could keep it. But then the lamb came to life--- it was an old decrepit sheep. But it was still something that was as old as I was and that I loved very much in my childhood. It was very affectionate and my heart broke for the old thing because it obviously wanted to come home with me, but my mom told me that we couldn't afford to put it on the plane with us. (Suddenly we were in California and flying back to Baltimore, where I grew up). So I told the girl who was giving it to me, and she was really disappointed, and I felt really guilty.
I woke up then. **** "Chives?" "Yes, m'lud?" "Is that Ms Ephemera hovering over the croquet lawn?" "Indeed m'lud. She's marshalled all the haggle-dans. The End of the World dream from January 6, 2005
A group of people on Earth have failed to secure a deal. I'm not sure what deal this is. This group consists of world leaders or aliens. Either case, they left aboard rockets that have just taken off. I had a bad feeling that as soon as they left the planet, they would initiate the destruction of the planet Earth. I was with my sister at this time. We were trying to escape this destruction. She was telling me that I shouldn't have to rush. I was saying to her that we don't have much time. I wasn't sure where we were going. I didn't know if I was heading towards an escape rocket or a shelter or what. I don't know. I just know that I had to continue towards the building ahead of me. I caught a glimpse of a woman feeding a cartoon mouse a piece of cartoon cheese. That was when the explosions started. The roof of the building to the right of me erupted. I knew the destruction was close. My sister insisted that we still had time. In front of us was a blinding light and we were catapulted backwards. The scene was changed. It looked like a high-tech visual display with a "Report" screen. There was a background voice. She said, "No one survived the destruction. You don't want to know how many other planets have suffered the same fate." This was a disturbing dream, to say the least. Bug-a-boo |
