okay, remember a short while back i posted that i'd discovered a limertilly hiding on myshelf.

he's since made it out onto my desktop (and told me his name is Fred!)

after moving out of the shelf and onto the desk he started getting adventurace and wanted to travel more.

so, we went to the river at Durham.

and then down to the beach

where he had much fun playing in the sand...

and to cut a long story short, he's no longer happy sitting on my desk and wants to travel the world (he also wants fame if not fortune and would appricate anyone who'll give him a home for a couple of weeks to post the pictures of his travels here).

he's very small and light and is more than happy to travel in a jiffy bag.

so, who can give him a home, show him the sights, take a few pictures so we can all share in his adventures and then send him on again?

the parrot... ...gets tiresome.
the parrot... ...i ate him.

Limertilly: A pagan deity forgotten by man and therefore banished to the realms of memory and darkness now remembered by a young girl in downtown L.A. in the form of a dream and therefore freed to reap your revenge on the people who discarded you, thereby forcing said girl to learn to use her innate yet awesome powers as a soothsayer to gather forces of the Earth to defy you and once more banish you to your cold, cold prisoooooon

I'm flying over to the US on July 12. Maybe he would want to go as hand baggage rather than by post. I could get some pics on the plane.

Of course I would have to post him on there.

Psi, if Fred wasn't so excited by the idea of being a pirate in MN in 2 weeks time i'd have taken you up on that, however since he could hardly contain himself he's now on his way to the Deep South of America!!!! B! Protect him, i'm not sure how they'll take to a green traveller! Big Grin

for those of you interested in joining in but not sure about the commitment of posting him about he really really is light, his airfare this time cost me £1.49.

If someone doesn't get some pants on that thing before the next round of pictures I'm going to have to request that this thread be moved to another forum.

*facepalm!*

you know, you don't want to upset him too much, he may be tiny but he has been known to attack yowling cats at great speed (usually early in the mornings)

So far it seems like it's gonna be quite informal - i've sent him on and b is going to pass him on (unless he misses the bus, then she'll have to post him) onwards.

So, once Fred has arrived at someones house they show him the sights, take his picture and post them, with a note saying he's ready to move on, people then yell up and the current holder selects who they can send it to (I just went for first come first served but i'll understand if some people need to keep postage local although as mentioned early he was dirt cheap to transport) the selected can then PM their address to the person who is currently putting Fred up.

He is then sent on and the route continues.

I'm happy if people want to PM me their address and will only forward on with their permission, should you want to put your name down now and then forget about it until its time for you to take him....although why anyone won't be keeping a close eye on this thread is beyond me Big Grin

and of course, if anyone has any better ideas how it will work, let us know.
