Can you briefly explain that too me? My ISP give free website space, and the options were templates or FTP. I wasn't sure how the FTP thing worked....

FTP = File Transfer Protocol.

It's a way of uploading files to a server, which would allow you to design your own page, whether handcode, or in dreamweaver, or whatever, and upload it yourself.

i knew what it stood for, just not what it did.

So i'd need some sort of webpage making software to use that?

what you need to do is check on your host's faqs the ftp address, you copy it in the address bar, when asked to put in a username and a password you just use the ones provided to or by your host. then you just upload whatever are the files you need to have uploaded are.
it will all be a lot easier if you keep the folders bar open.

otherwise you can use Dreamweaver, or download some easy to use ftp programs, such as SmartFTP ore CuteFTP.

then I suggest SmartFTP. It's freeware, though it will bugger you from time to time asking you to voluntarily donate them some money.

Thats only for posting the webpage though.

For making it, you still need some sort of page making software, and/or the ability to handcode.

I finally made it. I had the top five threads listed with my replies as the last one. now this is why I kept posting nonsense, if you were wondering.

it's not like Amy's 10k, but it still is something for me.

Finally finished my EU politics essay, by Jupiter!
Onto essay number 2 now...

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
