I took the bull by the horns and called my granny, to whom I haven't spoken in months. Things maybe better now.

I'm glad you shared this, it inspired me to call my grandmother. Thanks. It was a nice conversation. Smile

..and so I'm proud I called even though I should more often.

i sent my assistant out with money to get the two of us icecream bars. because i can, because it would make the rest of the women here jealous, and because i know she was wanting to go outside instead of helping me.

My fly has been open all morning but I have seemed to have fixed the situation before anyone teased me about it.
Or they saw and did not care.

I have avoided throwing anything at any directors or VPs, no matter how pissed off I've gotten, in the past week.

My co-workers can't say the same.

I took the picture that won her that distinction! Big Grin

I haven't smoked in over a week. I'm not so much proud of that, as i am for not having killed anyone.

I found another tape today.

Does it make me a bad person to be happy that I just learned my ex-girlfriend, who got married just over 4 months after we broke up, is getting a divorce after being married about 7 months? Cuz I really don't feel like a bad person.

eta: And she's pregnant as well. Am I an asshole to gloat?

I finally got some much needed fossil therapy in my cleaning room I finished last weekend. I was cleaning a trilobite head for practice, learning the correct pressure and powder flow. I found this fossil about 3 years ago and it's sat on my shelf waiting until I had a cleaning room set up. It's just a partial fossil, so it didn't matter if I screwed it up. As I started cleaning it, the rest of the body started showing up. There's potential it could be a complete trilobite and a very big one at that. I still have a lot to clean, but it's very promising. I've had it for 3 years and never knew...

It's 180 million year old treasure hunting!

I got a 77% on my final exam.

Normally I'd be pissed at myself. I'm an honors student and expect a lot. However, I was in a 400 level mechanical engineering class (Fundementals of Vehicle Dynamics) and I ain't a mechanical engineer. It's been 12 years since I've done force and moment balances. The 20 year olds in the class do this shit in their sleep. I got a 53% on the midterm. I'm very happy with my 77% final and 80% overall grade. I will get a passing grade and my company will reimburse my tuition. I understand tire loads, brake forces, suspensions and roll over conditions much better and that is directly related to my job. I can actually use something I learned in a class at work.

So...Yeah me. 77%.
