Great episode. I was trying to figure out what the map was too, and thought maybe it had something to do with the other Dharma Initiative symbols--each "compound" has its own symbol. But I don't exactly remember how many symbols there were around the circle.
Somehow I feel really bad for Locke. He has not had the easiest life--I find his character interesting. |

http://www.lost-theseries.com/screencaps.php?view=thumbs&epid=54&s=544 There are eight or nine large symbols, which is strange as I'm sure they said there were six stations. Might be wrong, though. __________ AJGraeme "You see, I have a policy about honesty and ass-kicking: if you ask for it, I have to let you have it." -Taylor Mali "Science is the foot that kicks magic square in the nuts." -Scratch Fury |

I gotta admit, the ending threw me. I was expecting a "I found your wife" followed by Sayid leading Slow Clapping a la Lucas.
My current theory is that fauxGale isn't an Other, but was on the balloon with real Gale, possibly as a long suffering Toadie, and killed him when he got the chance. Way to go Sayid. Ana Lucia mustn't have been much of a cop. I mean, even if they had found everything as described, none of it would have meant that fauxGale wasn't an Other who had known about the balloon. It would be like if an Other drew a map to the plane wreckage to prove that he was a Lostie. |

I missed the part about the map being printed on the blast door. They'll need to seal the bunker again if they want a closer look at it (not going to happen easily).

From the Lost board: remember Kate eats an "Apollo" bar from the food room? Well there are six constellations associated with the God Apollo..... it would seem the producers had Dharma (in theory, we still need to actually see the other logos) name the hatches after constellations associated with Apollo. There are six constellations associated with Apollo (which is the name of the candy bar in the station food supply) 1. Cygnus = swan 2. Sagitta = arrow 3. Corvus = crow 4. Crater = goblet 5. Ophiuchus = serpent handler 6. Orion = the hunter --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Well we all shine on, like the moon and the stars and the sun... In an amusing coincidence that has nothing to do with the show, really, the Plot going on in Neopets has us searching for constellations... by finding them on every day objects. When you find them, you click on whatever it is, and it goes dark with just the constellation lit up. It looks a lot like that door.
(Yes, I play Neopets. Shaddup.) _____________________________________________________ "Talent just defines what you do," he said. "It doesn't define what you are. Deep down, I mean. When you know what you are, you can do anything." |

Neopets is fun, from what little I've seen of it. Thanks for the map, pkitty.

Hi everybody! Member |
I tapped the Lost episode from last Wednesday and just watched it last night. I must admit, I was surprised when Jack actually agreed to play cards with Sawyer and everyone, and was exceptionally happy when he won all the marbles. When Lock saw that map and the power went out, I was thinking that he would have freaked out or something, like "It's the end of the world!" sort of thing.

I'm not really a huge fan of Hurley (get it? huge?) but that was a good episode. Or at least contained several scenes that caught me completely off-guard. Hurley's island hallucination was . . . already a hallucination. And very, very interactive. Libby was a mental patient. Sawyer's a pussy in a fistfight.

Hi everybody! Member |
I was surprised to see Libby in the mental institution with Hurley as well. Then, with the new knowledge that everything went back to normal without "Henry" typing in the numbers was already suspected by myself and fellow Lost fans in my community. Then, next week, the ticker will be at 205 minutes instead of 108.

I think Sawyer could have hurt Hurley if he'd really wanted to. I think he was more bewildered than anything else.
I saw Dave being a hallucination coming from the very beginning. The Libby thing threw me. Boy, she's really got herself together. I guess this episode rules out the St. Elsewhere possibility. Although with Dave seeming as real as everyone else, how did Hurley know that Libby wasn't a hallucination? I didn't find her logic particularly compelling. Libby's not an Other! Yay. Hot chicks CAN like fat guys! But she's nuts. So it's only the crazy hot chicks who like fat guys. I guess I can live with that. The problem with Henry is that he lies so much that you can't rely on anything he says. |

I have to give my wife props...she called Libby being a mental patient like the second episode we saw her in (I think). When she hypnotized Claire a few episodes ago, I'd thought that disproved the theory. Wrong. Guess the question now is, why was she there? And was she ever a shrink.
Did the fistfight between Hurley and Sawyer remind anyone else of Looney Toons -- the big cloud of dust (tarp in this case) with a head coming out and then a hand pull the head back in? Um, I'm not sure Henry was being completely honest with Locke either. But he might have been. I don't know. Next week (another new one? Sweet!) looks to be very others-intensive. ____________________________________________________________________ "Patriotism is defined as the last resort of a scoundrel. Yes, it does. Do you think that the others will allow the prisoner exchange to go through?

Same here. I knew Dave was not real from the beginning. I knew there was something up with Libby because Hurley thoughts she looked familiar and she would change the subject but I did not think that she was a patient. I wonder if see still had problems and the island "Healed" her? ------------------------------ my cup runs over but I am so blind I just complain as it spills around me |

No, I think Jack's about to get, er, jacked. I kind of think Gale is a knwoing pawn in some kind of plan they've concocted. Hard to say for sure, though. Lan: The island might have healed Libby, but what was she doing in Australia? ____________________________________________________________________ "Patriotism is defined as the last resort of a scoundrel. Yeah I know. I mean I don't know but... You know what I mean. I love stuff that keeps me guessing as long as the payoff is worth it and I think it will be. As long as Bobby doesn't come out of the shower to be told by Pam that she just had the weirdest dream. ------------------------------ my cup runs over but I am so blind I just complain as it spills around me |

Hi everybody! Member |
I know what you mean. Before the conclusion to last nights episode, I felt that nothing more could possibly jump to Lost vieweres as a major shocker, then Libby is in the mental institution, no more than Hugo being found in the same one?! That felt like a big bomb going off.

It's silly, but I always get annoyed by the title sequence - that swoop/zoom over the letters LOST. It looks so cheaply done, especially with the polygon errors on the S as it comes into focus. What's with that?
