I don't remember which episode it was, bu they were in a lighthouse and the monster looked like a head of either cabbage or lettuce wrapped in plastic. (yeah it was really cheesy but so much fun!)

Horror of Fang Rock!

I like that one. Mostly I like Leela's attitude.

You are a Leprechaun. I'm not even sure what you are. Whiskey-soaked reports from your baffling Isle of Ire raise more questions than they answer. Are you a dwarf? Where's your pickax? If you're an elf, why don't you cobble? You'd think with all your gold, you could invest in some land, perhaps a title, and improve your station. Instead, you hide it in meteorologically-determined locations. You're getting killed on inflation, little friend!

Thank god RTD's going!

I mean, I'm sure he's a nice lad, and a fantastic actor (wasn't it him in Being Human?) but... really RTD? Really?

Oh, my. I just can't see that man as The Doctor. A Companion, sure, and a long-term one of the stalwart, no-nonsense type the current Doctor is seriously lacking, but The Doctor himself?

I really doubt Russell Tovey'd do it. He's too young for a start, and he's got plenty of work in theatre and film already. Not to mention Being Human was put forward for a series, and presumably the pilot cast have first refusal on it.

Its just RTD being a twat. Again.

It seems to be his natural state of being.

He's 26.
And he looks even younger.

He's 26?? I would've guess 18, tops.

Why I'm sometimes sad to be an American... Yesterday at the mall I noticed a costume shop set up for Halloween - so I went in and asked about ...

Me: Do you have any Doctor Who costumes?
Retail Slave: Who?
Me: Yes.
RS: *puzzled look*
Me: er... the TV show? Doctor Who? Daleks?

Needless to say, there was nothing there... Devlin so wants to go as a Dalek and I fear that no one in our area will know what his costume is. sigh.

Maeve, they do some costumes here for kids to dress as Daleks. I could investigate for you?

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

I found some on ebay - from UK dealers, but they will ship to the US, so ordering it isn't really a problem - I just figured, it's there, I'll go in and check... I've just held off ordering anything until at least October because I wanna make sure that's still what Dev wants to be. Smile

Oh and by the way - Dev thinks it's totally awesome that you're going as Doctor Horrible. Smile He did think that was a cool costume idea when I mentioned it, but I don't think I could find the goggles or doctor's lab coat thingy. Where'd you get the goggles?

Any good welding warehouse Big Grin

There's some DIY and hardware stores around my house so I looked and found some Smile

Gloves were actually described on the Dr. Horrible website so I found them easily and ordered them. Boots, I got a really cheap pair which I hope to use afterwards too Smile

I'm in two minds whether to spraypaint my black boots white...I will if I can easily get the paint off again afterwards, but if I can't, I might just keep them black.

ok, so they're probably fine once weekly, when you've been waiting for the next episode since the week before, but when you're watching the show in episode-long blocks the voices really start getting aaaaarrrgh.
