I forget. Beat the original but i don't know how on the new game. I think it's one of those stupid 'don't fire at it's head until it's about to stomp you and then DODGE' crapfests. Mad

Thats why I try to stay away from puzzle games. I prefer the beat-the-other-guy-until-he's-dead-and-you-aren't type of game.

Cap's Fatality is when he smashes his grog over your head and it explodes like a moldy pumpkin!

Furious' is when he gets eaten. And eaten. And eaten. Until the other guy explodes and Fury reforms, though slightly less whole then before.

You're close. It took me three times to kill it, but shoot at the head many times to piss it off, have it charge you, dodge, put some bullets between it's eyes, repeat.

I'd prefer the 'run back to the waterfall/pond and DROWN that sucka!' option, if they had one! Mad

Oh, you CAN turn off the seizure-inducing background in the new Space Invaders DS game. Whew.

Elite Beat Agents for the DS...it's amusing, but I'm not so sure I enjoy rhythm games on such a tiny screen. :/ It DID help me decide NOT to buy Guitar Hero DS.

*more shameless bragging about his DS*

I have a couple of homebrew games on it too...a Rubik's cube simulator, a Light's Out simulator, a Kanji trainer, and a game inspired by Portal!

I need longer battery life. Razz

Hey Furious is that the thing where you can download games, movies and MP3s to play on your DS? I think my brother's getting me one, though I have no idea how it works Big Grin

Also, anyone got Smash Bros? Want to trade friend codes?

Heh. I need a Wii first, and I'm saving up for a big road trip in August. Razz

As for music and movies, yeah, I -could- turn the DS into a 2GB player, but I already have a 20GB iPod that's collecting dust. :/

If you're getting the R4 card, I can walk you through it. Smile

i DO wish there was a good commercial solution to check e-mail and IM for the DS through WiFi. The one Opera solution and the homebrews are kinda wonky.

I'm going to load the Okiwi homebrew browser on my DS in a second and see how that works...

Grrr...here's my problem:

The DS uses WEP (Wired Equivalent Privacy) security protcols for WiFi and I use WPA-2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access 2, Personal) security for my computer/PS3 setup.

WEP is crackable and isn't really that good.
WPA-2 is great, but my DS won't hook up to my network!

There is a Nintendo DS Wi-Fi USB Connector (dongle for the PC) that is supposed to work around this, but the big question is whether DS internets is worth the cost of the dongle...

The Wii will want WEP and not WPA also.

I just went and downgraded my network security and dealt with it.

What games are people playing over DS Wi-fi now? I never see anyone on Mario Kart anymore.

I don't know. I don't play online games because of the Brat Factor.

The New York Time Crosswords? I can nail the Monday puzzles, but Wednesday's? I'm Googling for every other answer! And let's not discuss the Sunday puzzle...Roll Eyes

This is why, despite all the bitching, Big N uses Friend Codes and has no voice chat. No one wants to be pwnd by some 13-year-old who thinks your name is "fag".

Unfortunately I never got the hang of snaking so Mario Kart DS was a waste of time for me.
