can you youtube it?> or put it on facebook or something?

We aren't allowed, as we have to sign away the rights to it. But I am sure some nefarious people will make it available.

Damn them.

*has a very innocent face*

Also! We (or rather Liz and Jay, are nearly done editing the fottage! Then just making it look old and music to go on, the credits to bolt on the end, and the titles to bolt on the front)

I have made a propaganda poster! It's ace! I felt quite British Big Grin

I also seem to have become the producer... which I think means someone can sue me. For my no money.

The Adobe Pro one,

Gah I just read Cav's notes it would have been much more advisable for me to read them before fliming but I think we managed okay anyway, its fine when there is so little time of actual footage, ut proper take makers and white blanks really would have helped!

Thanks, Hal. Adobe Pro is fun (as is Avid). I definitely miss editing myself...

Cav (or anyone else): what's that about white-outs at the beginning of every take? How does it work, and what's its purpose?

I'm guessing you point the camera at a wall or put paper in front of it, therefore you have easy markers before each take (easy to pick up and "mark" when you are zooming through the tape in editing).

It was quite difficult to tell where each take was for us without watching the whole lot in real time.

overlaying music

adding sound effects.

we have to leave in 30-40 minutes.

its going to be to the wire, but its just really tweaking all the stuff we've layered together.

hey all!

MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

we got to the apollo at 11:55 Big Grin

I don't have any copies right now as we burned the dvd and ran out the door. we can't post it on youtube or anything because it now belongs to the sci fi channel but we'll figure out a way for everyone to watch. they may post it on the site themselves as we did get it in a format for that as well.

we didn't get to do a full documentary bit because it was going to take hours to export, but i had some video clips on my computer as well as lots of pictures so we put that with it too.

we could have used a couple more hours for it to look absolutely seemless, but since we were going for 1940s jerky kind of footage look, it looks and sounds good. The score fit brilliant with all the sequences and it does look like a post-zombie invasion, ad-hoc BBC broadcast.

Final running time, I believe was 4:58 Big Grin

That was a lot of fucking work! Amy and I got back to my place at about 4 am, got some sleep and then were back at the other flat for 9:30 for the completion. There was a very hilarious sequence with me trying to find the right damn street on picadilly circus, but we got it there.

The dudes were rather laid back, so even if we were a few minutes late, we probably would have been fine Wink but the fine line of it all was rather hilarious moviesque comical.

I think final budget for the entire project was about £20! Later this week I'll get all the rough footage and several versions of the film to start copying for everyone involved.

I'm going to nap a bit now Big Grin

It was ace fun! I got to leap out of a car at lights, and run down Piccadilly yelling into a phone, and nearly falling over from lack of energy due to having an empty stomach, and once I had yelled and waved in the direction of the cinema, Liz had an heroic dash to the desk. I limped behind Razz

And now I've stopped moving all my muscles are seizing up!
