It's pretty cool, but I inherited his old phone which is miles ahead of my old one. Big Grin

I shall have to trawl this thread when I decide to buy a new phone. I got a Sendo when Frog started secondary/high school six years ago. The battery is crap but if you text it works for ages. No camera, no nothing. Just texts. It really is a terrible phone!

I had one of those!

And I only got a new one because the boys ganged up on me and confiscated it for being somewhat broken.

You are a Leprechaun. I'm not even sure what you are. Whiskey-soaked reports from your baffling Isle of Ire raise more questions than they answer. Are you a dwarf? Where's your pickax? If you're an elf, why don't you cobble? You'd think with all your gold, you could invest in some land, perhaps a title, and improve your station. Instead, you hide it in meteorologically-determined locations. You're getting killed on inflation, little friend!

I am a Shimophobia sufferer to the point that I have never owned a cell phone. I even have an old roterty phone in the house. My son says I need to get a cell and dump the land line. His phone only works when the battery is plug into thr wall to charge. So I ask what is the difference?

With all that said, I may have to get one soon. Razz

Living in Minnesota now, I actually want a land line. The snowstorms and electrical storms are frequent enough here that it screws up the digital TV signal and wireless internets on a regular basis. Haven't had a problem getting a cell call through -yet- but then again I rarely used the evil RAZR.

Besides, I've seen every version of 'I couldn't get to you because your phone was off/my battery was dead/I had no more minutes' scenario and a cheapo land line combined with cheapo wired phone and answering machine solves a lot of problems before they emerge.

That said, I's enjoying the Jitterbug phone muchly.

I should have gotten the Old Geezer phone sooner. Works exactly the way I want it to. Smile

Now I'm thinking about trading eBaying my 4th gen 20gig iPod and Nokia n810 to buy an iPod Touch... hrm....

iPods are generally good, but the iTunes software you're forced to use (unless you're clever Razz) takes away any true utility out of the devices, mainly the ability to do what you want with your music collection.

iPhone? Noooo... I hate AT&T and I hate paying for services I'd never use. But I would use the Wi-Fi Internets, mp3 player, and maps/GPS/phonebook that the iTouch has. But I'm not 100% sold on the iTouch either. Like I said I tried a Nokia n810 first and discovered it had solid hardware but lousy software. *shrugs*
