thanks! I feel really lucky to be able to live there. I'd love to take a trip up there during WEVA (it's only 2.5 hours from Tacoma), but i'm not sure what the official plans are.

This is still my favorite picture of Barta I ever took, and I'm still surprised it turned out so good for a Polaroid.

I didn't even fiddle with the color when I scanned it in. It just came out like that. I've got that photo blown-up on my nightstand. These have been posted elsewhere, I know, since they were WEVA pics, but I will put them here because there are the closest to artistically good pictures that I have taken. Both are from the hike up to the castle in Wales.
Something about the light coming through the trees, the fact that I managed to hit it dead center, and the diffraction lines coming off of it make me really like this one:  And this one... I don't know. What could be the cover of Backpacker Magazine (or at least an Osprey ad):  If you look closely, you'll see there are chairs stacked from floor to ceiling:  Trestle bridge on the Virginia Creeper Trail bike path (17 miles...downhill all the way)   **** “Chives?†“Yes, m’lud?†“Is that Ms Ephemera hovering over the croquet lawn?†“Indeed m’lud. I nearly forgot about this one.
This was from a fountain at the public library in Chicago.  That's really a transit card in there, but from the back it looks like a credit card, and I love the idea of someone wanting their wish to come true so badly that they'd throw a credit card into a wishing well instead of just a few pennies. _____________________________________________________________ Don't you realize?
