Yeah. I think this time the honour goes to the engineers of Canon who made the EOS. All I had to do was follow them in the mirror refelx finder and keep pressing the button. The camera was automatically doing the exposure, white balance and focus at a speed I never could dream to manually adjust.

In other words, I just happened to be the monkey who was pushing the button.

But you knew enough to push it. That counts.

So you wonder about The South? I took some pictures that should give you a little taste of that rebel spirit alive and well.

Shrimp boats at dock. Local there told us that most of them are not going out this year because of gas prices.

And I just love the name of this one. The other ones were pretty normal southern boat names. But this was classic.

This chimney is right by my supermarket! There must have been a factory there, but they kept the chimney!

Piano?

I want that piano. I'll play it on top of the chimney. Wearing a cape. Me, not the piano.

Yes, that was a digital. I have an film one too.

Depends. Digitals start around 500€ for 400D (Might be worth shopping in the States right now Wink - you can call it charity, helping their economy.)
Of course, there are more expensive models, and lenses can get pretty pricy too.

For 95% of the pictures, you don't really need a DSLR. But it's the otherwise frustraiting 5% where it pays off.

Yeah, I don't hold with throwing out instruments. I don't know why - it's like how you don't throw out books.
