oh awesome, you've got one? i've heard very good things about it. and while i don't want a dslr (too expensive, too bulky, too complicated!) i do want to be able to do more than i can with my current camera.

i'm very very excited!

That's my reasons for having gone with the Canon G series, they're great for that! You'll have fun playing. Can't wait to see pix!

yeah, it..wasn't cheap. but my parents gave me a bit of money for christmas, and they would have been terribly disappointed had i just spent it on rent, and i've wanted a new camera for ages, so i just bit the bullet and did it. i will deal with the fallout when my next rent is due!

So, high altitudes make things disintegrate? Is that what happened to the chair and your shoes? Poor you, I wouldn't go there again!
(it looks beautiful Wink )

So is your kittie! I want one - I think hubby is slowly relenting. But he misses the birds in the garden when we have cats. We had five when we met and the last of them died last year. It was so sad.

Anyway, this is the sort of thing I see when I go walking!

i took lots of photos with my new camera last night Big Grin

high iso makes the picture grainy. and you still have to hold it really steady when taking pictures in low light without flash, especially at high zoom.

but the shots are far and away better than with my old camera.

now i need to start learning how to use the settings. i'm not entirely sure what all the numbers mean as yet! and i'm completely in the dark as to which parts of the display refer to which features.
