Hello everyone!
Thanks for all your messages... Firstly, the trip is taking place in the Swedish Arctic region for eight days - there will be approx 15 of us not including the instructors etc..however there will be a survival element to the trip, which I guess is the challenge (as well as the harsh climate as well). Timings - It's an 8 day trip, was due to be happening in February 2009 but I have decided to put it back to 2010 for a couple of reasons, but by doing this I can only raise more money for the charity. Hurrah! Penelopeia - I can't handle heat very well at all...I wish I could! Hoping to fare better in the Arctic with the right equipment... Hive - I'm a size 8! PS, blagging strategies eh? Al-Aura - Cheers, will check that out Masque - ta for the advice! Motley Hippie - it's a good plan, I'm currently contacting companies to see who will donate kit etc FatOigeon - Cheers! Mean Old Man - great advice there. PS - encore! I recommend spending a month training at Ft. Drum, NY.. units from Alaska do cold weather training there..
