Hey folks,

Not sure if this is the right place to put this or not (Mods?)... but I've had so much shit go down in my life these past few weeks, that I'm being forced to sell off some of my collection. This is in no way to get some extra party cash or go on some grand adventure... this is the dreaded "I'm only going to do this if I'm in dire straights" sort of sale.

In the coming days, I'm going to be taking some pictures of the things individually. Some of it is kinda odd and might still be around. Some of it is downright rare or one of a kind.

Here's a photo of a small bit of the items:

Most of it's signed (not personalized), and suchlike.

If you have any questions about the stuff, or want to quietly buy something before it hits eBay... let me know either here or via email.

So, in that assemblage is:

an original script from Beowulf (signed)
a signed pre-printing (used in a reading) of "October in the Chair"
4 issues of the Magian Line newsletter
A German language version of Preludes and Nocturnes
A copy of Now We Are Sick
A 1st edition Coraline (with rat drawing inside)
Three chapbooks ("On Cats And Dogs", "Snow, Glass, Apples, and the GOH chapbook #1111)
A copy of Legend of the Green Flame
Copy of Stranger Kaddish
Two small handbills (neither signed): One from SDCC, and the other is a copy of Stagebill detailing the NY Film Festival in which Princess Mononoke was shown
A couple small stickers used at Fiddler's Green for "Quick And Easy Neil Autographs" (yes, they're signed)

...and then I have 6 George Walker woodcut prints from the Biting Dog Press edition of Murder Mysteries. Three of them are signed/numbered, and the other three are Artist Proofs.

...oh, and of course a ceramic bowl made and fired from the clay underneath Neil's house.

More will be added... but this is just a smattering.

Thanks.

As a mod I can confirm I give permission for this thread, for a short while at least.

I'd appreciate it if there was no links to the actual ebay selling as that's specifically against the rules and all deals are to be made off board/via PM.

This is allowed because Saint Night Walker is an old time valued poster on the board and shouldn't be taken as read that this will be allowed by anyone else without running it by the mods first.

The Beowulf script made me salivate, but it's probably WAY out of my price range... can you PM me details or an Ebay link, Walker?

Thanks Smaug.

The items are not yet on eBay. I don't really know how to run an eBay auction, so I'm going to be figuring things out in the next day or so.

As for prices (say, a Pre Buy thing), drop me a PM with the item in question, make an offer, and if it's reasonable I'll let it slide. I honestly have no concept of how much some of this stuff would go for, nor do I remember how much I paid for most of it.

I do need a fair bit of cash for getting out of my current shitty situation(s), so I am hoping.

Thanks everyone for understanding. I'll be posting a little more in-depth reasons/etc. to the Facebook group... so watch there.

Out of curiosity, are there no incoming ComiCons? I figure you could sell those items at a really good price at one of those. Not that I don't wish any of the WErs to obtain such lovely collectibles, just considering that you need the cash to pay for your medical bills and all.

and by the by, while at the moment I'm in no economic situation to help you out, my well-being thoughts and vibes are on their way!

NYCC is coming up in about a month, but that would require that he get across the country to NYC, which seems to run against the whole 'austerity' theme going on here.

I'm sure if you set up an e-bay auction, Neil would gladly give you a shout-out on twitter. Especially since the two of you are friends. That would almost certainly push the selling price up and over anything you would get at a con, or even here on the board.

Not that I'm not tempted by the Coraline book, but I'd rather you be better off financially.

I haven't forgotten this.

Fuck, trust me, I haven't forgotten.

I'm going to be taking good pictures of everything and writing up descriptions of everything and figuring out prices vs. how much I really need tomorrow after I do doctor and car shit.

After that, I'll fiddle with eBay. Prior to that, those that have contacted me about specific items will get first dibs.

Stay tuned. And thanks again.

Shit hit the fan sale - this is reminds of the times of the war when everyhting went on rasions and there was nothing but bread, bacon, butter and water. For the more wealthy perhaps milk but the cows had to be said and that need grass and to grow grass in those days I expect the grass had to be green for the most natural milk.

Sales are for the wealthy, or as todays markets are indicating for the ones that have money and shop at will. Shopoholics and alchoholics. The sales of alchahol boosted as the shops desided to place a massive powerful marketing strategy on the social people. Of course the stars (hehe) got there products such as shoes ect for free, that's the best way for them to sell more in the local shops. In our town we walk around like normal folks, I pay a couple of pounds for a shirt. the opposite effect is not possible because a clearence sale in that of foru seasons, the spring is for the summer and the summer for the autumn and then the autumn for the winter. THE END

The Winter for the summer ect ect >>>>> HE HE

Last evening there was a broadcast from british televsion called big brother, this big brother was supposed to have finished a couple of years ago .... then out of the blue it's back on again NOT ... last night the show was turned off due to lack of support from the public. Just to top the show off for good.... the housemates two men took there clouthes off on international Televsions and then jumped in the pool showing there you know whats off. The Girls kept their clouthes on (phew thank heavens I would have died Smile I guess there cloute4s are worth more than the lads you know whats, (once again thanks heavens for that)

So as sales in some towns sore, others write news that other cities are booming, wow attracted to that, NOT the areas that mention a boom in sales are trickle compared to the town i visited the other day. Loads of money flouting around and me, unemployed happy as a pig ER ER in muck withyout a care in the world. So where do these people come from top buy such huge amounts of products (good quality) This is a double reccession and there is no money. The governement must be thinking where everyone has gone. I guess we have all the money (JOKE)

Limertilly: A pagan deity forgotten by man and therefore banished to the realms of memory and darkness now remembered by a young girl in downtown L.A. in the form of a dream and therefore freed to reap your revenge on the people who discarded you, thereby forcing said girl to learn to use her innate yet awesome powers as a soothsayer to gather forces of the Earth to defy you and once more banish you to your cold, cold prisoooooon

The gentleman in question has been PM'd, and I'm monitoring his posts. Based ont he ISP and IP address, I think we may be looking at a language barrier problem. Also a politeness problem.

Walker, might you be willing to reveal your ebay ID here (if it's not your real name) or in a PM? That way I can take a look on the open market, as it were, and then if I do win anything I'll know I'll have paid you a fair price for it.

(I'm not making suggestions direct to you because I have no idea what anything is worth, and I don't want to mess up - I imagine other people here are much more au fait about these things than me, and know what to offer!)
