Crisis in Palestine
 Jewish immigration to the Holy Land has grown since the Great War, and the rise of anti-semitism in Europe has been a major factor. At the end of the War the British government pledged to support Jewish migration to the Holy Land as a pretext to a Jewish state sometime in the future. We have a problem here. We could stop Jewish migration, which is causing unrest among the Arab natives, but that will displease the public at home; on the other hand, we could have a full-scale riot on our hands if we remain firm. What should we do? |
