As a children's librarian I read books to kids for a living. So, that doesn't bother me too much. This event was story telling. (No book) unfortunately I was competing with other activities so I never got a crowd. The afternoon lady got more kids. Thanks for asking.

I told Dev he should stay away from the internet until Tuesday - he wants to wait for the theatre version of Doctor Who. And it's torture to not spoil it for him! I guess I'll have to avoid him 'til Tuesday.

I really should go do my exercises and then go fetch some groceries.

Back at work after the holiday.

I feel like there should be more pie in this office. But after Thanksgiving, I'm often confused by the lack of pie in my everyday life. Shouldn't there always be pie?

I've always thought so. And so I bake them a lot.

Note to self: move closer to Maeve for perma-pie.

I finally have a minion starting today! My filing! It will be done! In part, at least.

Perma-pie makes me think of the land beyond the Arctic and Antarctic circles just being full of pie, like permafrost..

In other news, Lilia, Motley, Froggie and I met the lovely Smaug for the first time ever yesterday! (Well, first time for me at least).

No pictures but if you can imagine us watching a hot-tempered dragon stomping all over the inside of a carvery you get the picture...

I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

the parrot... ...gets tiresome.

I brought soup for lunch today, but I forgot to bring a spoon.

Super sleepy today, as well. I think I may need a nap.

How are the other folks? I'm jealous that you guys got to meet Ms. Smaug.

No, or means that some boardsters have very vivid imaginations and lucid dreams.

Cranky mama over here, there's a pointless construction project going on on our roof (pointless because the result is nothing to help the building or the residents, they're installing a cell tower for Verizon aka our landlords are getting paid for this) and it's SUPER LOUD and right above our apartment and UGH.
Molly's nap was cut short and I had just laid down.
So very very not happy.

Thankfully they don't work on Sundays! And knowing their track record we might not experience them again for this entire week.
Much better today Smile

My office is very chilly, and I have a cold. But I have a scarf and Throat Coat tea, so things could be worse.

Hoping that your luck holds out today, GR!

as he has a fiancee, i'm *really* hoping he has a yummy friend who he's going to try and fix me up with. *sigh*

Devlin tried to teach me how to play Rayman Origins on his xbox. It's a very silly, cartoonish game and lots of fun, but oh my, do I suck!

I didn't venture down to the yarn shop tonight and so we shall watch Agents of SHIELD later.

I have bolognese sauce simmering in the crockpot, the toddler is sleeping, and I am going to super-clean (aka strip) our cloth diapers.

Yes. I am. As soon as I get up off the couch. Big Grin
