I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

when's spring due?.

I guess my New England roots are showing ...

I made two huge banana breads the other day -- I think I'll defreeze #2 and make french toast out of it.

Just warmed then, with butter?

It's an academic issue for the moment -- still frozen.

Damnit!! Frakking washing machine is flooding again ... stopped it, but now it's the slow-draining process, and a call to the plumber.

Like we can afford a couple hundred or whatever the hell it costs to have our pipe de-rooted again.

Bloody hell ...

I keep thinking 76 Trombones...

Some eejits decided to use Back Street as a garbage dump - there are mattresses flung into the woods. I saw one, but apparently there are more. A neighbour decided to drive up our road to inform us. She just leaned on the horn for at least three minutes while I found some pants and then chided me for the bad condition my road is in. Erm... I didn't ask you to drive up my road you crazy mountain woman!
