I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not.

the parrot... ...gets tiresome.
the parrot... ...i ate him.

That's exactly how the conversation about them with kidlet went! No point in having one: you want to be able to freak out other people good and proper.

Five young North Koreans cover a-ha's "Take On Me". On accordions.

It's unexpectedly gleeful and happy-making.

Edit: oh, bugger, I looked up the Norwegian artist who initiated this, and it seems he's into hmmm, what I'd call exploitative, deliberately shocking stuff. So, maybe not so cool. I really hope the five musicians featured here got *something* good out of their experiences making this.

Stop what you are doing and look at photos of dogs underwater.

Much weirder than you'd think.

Now I'm having to come to terms with the fact that Willam Defoe is actually attractive and not just insanely creepy.

It's a little disconcerting.

I purchased Valiant's Archer and Armstrong #1 yesterday, being a big fan of the original Valiant series (not the Acclaim series, good God that stank).

The world's best buddy comic is BACK!
