Alright. I want to know how they do it on Celebrity Masterchef. WHERE do all these dishes come from? I imagine its from trying. (I've been watching a bit too much Iplayer this evening...)
SO. Because I am a pitiful chef, and basically cook three dishes on repeat I need CHALLENGES! so. if you are like me, or just want to spice up the ol' supper table. we shall have a weekly challenge. it can be anything, from breakfast, lunch, dinner, whatever. Ransack the recipe's thread and fire up the stove. Post pictures if you can to make everyone drooool. This weeks challenge: since I am effing terrible at cooking rice - risotto. I demand you post the recipe for butternut squash rissotto! I want to make one - I always make loads and it feeds me for a week - it's very filling. And coming from me that means it's VERY filling!

I would LOVE to do a rice dish, btu I just got finished making in'hhui blossoms (shrimp. scallop and crab raviolis and tortillini..) maybe after monday..

First roast your squash!
 Fry the rice and onions!  Then add wine!  Then drink the rest of your wine! I am driunken! Add stock and stir for ages!  Peel your squash! It is hot! although I had to microwave the sqaush in the end to make it soft enough to mash - and it was hard to crush the garlic for the marinade! Well wine is ot mandatory. Use some good broth instead. I do a rosemary bacon/pancetta one, mushroom (porcini) one, i've tried a lamb one. Just holler and i'll see what i can do. ~You are a *Taverner*. Sometimes patrons want to go where everybody knows their names, though it helps when half of them are named John. When people want to celebrate, or commiserate, they gather to your establishment. You provide the atmosphere, the warmth, rum, and even an ear to bend. Did I mention the rum?
