I'm on track! Smile

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

- Sir Alan Lascelles, 19 February 1980

Eek I forgot to do them last night! (although I got a lot of use out of those muscles at work) I remembered and then I forgot!

I'm on week two and not finding them any easier. I don't hurt afterward, but my wrists, elbows and shoulders hurt while I'm doing them.

Weak 2, Day 2: 11/9/7/7/12

I do appreciate that the 'max' numbers at the end are slowly ramping up, and I am finding the mild achiness in the same points again and again.

What I liked about week one, though, vs. week two, is that last week I did them all ~ 5:00 p.m., after which I would come downstairs and have a nice, restorative gin and tonic.

nothing like that 'round here at present, alas ... a cold glass of water just doesn't have the same qualities.

Week 3, day 1.

I fail.

I did 26 in my post-week 2 test, so I started in the most difficult column. Which rapidly changed to the middle column. I ended up doing the last two sets in the easiest column.

On Sunday I'll start week 3 again, this time starting in the easiest column to begin with.

I blew off today, Week 2, Day III, but there's still tomorrow.

Sunday is driving all day, and Monday I'll be a mess, but I'll see if I can start week 3 Monday anyway. I do want to stay on schedule, I really do.

Saturday, 7:51 p.m.
Week 2, day III: 10/10/8/8/14

I was one day late doing Week2 Day3.
The breaks are what are getting me. Two minutes in between sets is just long enough you don't want to just sit there, but not long enough to go get anything done.
My wrestler muscles are coming back strongSmile The arms are huge, and rock solid when I flex! Wish I could have cut them down some before building the muscle back up...

I failed too. I could do more then 25 push ups in one set when I started, so I didn't even bother checking, but I couldn't finish the last (max) set. only did 12.

Guess I'll try it again on Tuesday.

So, I did week 3, day 1, easiest column. 15/12/12/10/15. Let's see whether I get through this week.

I'm starting to think, though, that I shouldn't do the pushups after a couple of sets with weights and pullups. Perhaps if I did the pushups first thing in the morning on the respective days...

Yipes! I need to do my test today, and I don't think I'm going to get anywhere near 40.

I'll have to come up with some super moves, 'cause arm-wrestling and throwing isn't going to beat Expletive, there Frown
