Looks like we're the only two still going. I'll be doing W5D3 today. It's my second attempt at week 5, although this time in the middle column.

Edit: 16/16/14/14/12/12/10/36, with 30 seconds in between. Seeing how tough W5D3 was in the easiest column, I guess my muscles have grown stronger. Smile

Something I'm interested in, pkitty: why did you not try the progression of sets from the link in the original post?

Cobalt, you still hanging in there?

Week 6, day 1 just keeps killing me. I'll be going back to week 5, but I'll try my luck in the hard column.

Cos' I never read the original post? Lazy is my middle name. Just thought I'd tackle them anyway.

So today I did 25/20/20/15/10.

Well, I laid off for a week after completing the treatment, and I feel pretty much back to normal now. Did 35 consecutive push-ups in the test, so I figure I'll go back to week three. Going to try the third column, but won't push as hard as last time if it's too strenuous.

Yesterday I did W5D1, right column: 40/32/30/25/44. I think that once I successfully graduate to week 6, I'll also do left column, then middle column, then right column, with exhaustion tests in between, so I've got a good build-up to the 100.

I never even started this... oh well. Maybe someday.

Instead, I am up to riding my bike about 35-40 miles a week.

Push-ups complement biking quite well, since the one strengthens the muscles in your legs and back and the other strengthens the muscles in your back, arms and shoulders. Do this for long enough and you'll look like the Incredible Hulk.

Just more aesthetically pleasing.

And less green.

Ahem.

Well, the first day went ok, even if I did have to take two minute breaks.

By the way, the other weekend I met up with some friends (we went to see a breeders concert) and one of them asked me if I'd been working out. I think it was the shirt more then the pushups, but still.

Good on you, Gal! Smile

I did W5D2 today: 20/20/18/18/15/15/14/44. Hoping to fit W5D3 in on Tuesday, as I'll be immensely busy this week (business trip to Brussels on Wednesday/Thursday, band gig on Friday).

Am I really the only surviving pusher-upper?

I had a break because I was away in Edinburgh, then it was so hard to get back into I'd have had to start all over, so I gave up like a wuss. I might start again now though, I'm feeling fat! Big Grin

I think I'm going to start it up, too, Domi. I was too late to do it with everyone else last time. Frown

No, I'm back to week 3 now that my shoulder is better.

Although I had my schedule disrupted by a hiking trip yesterday that kind of took it out of me.
