illustrations are great, but the discriptions are the clincher... My mom has a false eye, and she used to freak me out by tapping it with her finger nail... when he wrote that i just about wet myself

I love Edward Gorey's drawings. Especially his animations for PBS Mystery. They're so Poe-esque with a hint of dark humor. Anything that's dark, I usually like.
