I was wondering if anyone had seen this new film by the Polish Brothers called Northfork? It explores some of the same territory as American Gods. Some have coined the term magical realism to describe Northfork and I think that is not too far from Neil's gothic/fantasy realm. In Northfork a band of nether-world ghosts roam the plains looking for a lost angel. In American Gods there is a similar quest for the last remaining ancients. Both book and film are great, original and fully worth the experience.

Never heard of that film. I wonder how closely it paralels American Gods?

(Which I just bought and haven't yet read)
