I'm doing a project for school on American Gods where we have to make a container representing a book. I got a briefcase, and inside I have to put five items representing the book inside. I've got two—a glass eye and a 1922 Liberty dollar.

I'm stuck trying to think of the other three. Help?

Dead girl in the trunk of a submerged car? Make the container a bank box? A large hammer, brain splattered of course.

The brain spatter would confuse- - -unless you added USDA or whatever his cattle co's name on it since those wouldn't be Shadow's noggins crusted on 'said hammer'.

But the dead girl in the trunk is a good one Cavenagh.

My goodness, the book is chock full of symbols - pick any! Or did you not read the book and are hoping that random strangers will do your homework for you?

Oh no, it's my favourite book. I'm on my fifth read now, but there's just so many symbols I'm having a hard time deciding! I added a few more—a Mike Ainsel business card, and an empty bottle of mead. The hammer is a great idea though, I may put both a hammer and a noose (gallows god much?) in and count them as the same item.

Thanks for all the ideas!
