This is a very specific question.

In the original version released in Britian, was the sequence in which Mr Town refers to the old gods as "terrorists" (right before Wednesday is assassinated) included, or was that sequence added in the author's preferred edition?

It was in the original British edition, but expanded in the Author's Preferred edition:

"Terrorists hide behind weasel-words, like freedom fighter. You and I know that they are murdering scum, pure and simple. We're risking our lives to make a difference."

was changed to

"Terrorism is too easy a word to bandy about. It means that the real terrorists hide behind weasel-words, like freedom fighter, when they are murdering scum, pure and simple. It doesn't make our job any easier, but at least we know we're making a difference. We're risking our lives to make a difference."

Finished reading the 2002 Brazilian edition of "American Gods".

This time I was prepared by 2 earlier readings to withstand the thousand typo errors, gender changes and other nasty translation errors that plague this edition.

Great book. Now I'm starting "Fragile Things" in parallel to "Someone Comes to Town, Someone Leaves Town" from Cory Doctorow. After that I'll re-read "American Gods" in the Authors Preferred edition.
