Went to an RPG con yesterday, flipped through an issue of Dragon Magazine (the official Dungeons and Dragons magazine, or one of them) and came across stats for items form American Gods, like Shadow's Eye and some coin (its been ages since i read the book, and i only glanced at the article). i'm posting this so someone like Dweller, who's probably read the article, can post more details... seems like odd things to stat up, but they definatly could be fun

Well, since I actually make some money of the magazine, I won't post up the details of the articles, but I'll check my collection and post up the volume number and the names of the items, at least.

Yep... you make money off the magazine? You're a Dragon writer? Or something else? Details... i'm getting really into D&D, and i think thats really cool

I'm wondering how they're getting permission to use all these licensed concepts. I love it-- the rules for Chocobos a few issues back were neat, and i've got no problem mixing AG with D&D... or even something like Neverwhere (hell, that'd rock)
Sandman is harder, since i see the chars as basically being uber NPCs... but some of the items from the game would be fun. is there a licensed DC comics RPG?

There used to be a licensed DC game, but I think it's long-gone. Might be back, though. They just revamped the Marvel game.

I'm not a writer for Dragon, I'm just a tester and freelancer for a few gaming companies. It's all very casual right now, but some of my ideas have caught the attention of some people, so we shall see what happens.

Found out which issue it is, now digging through my stack of back issues to find it. Should have it in days.
