Simple...Tim Burton should play the sandman. Nicole Kidman as Delirium...she can pull it off...after the hours...I dont doubt her at any role. Not to pair these two up again, but ewan mcgreggor has the face for despair, that or possibly johnny depp or J. Pheonix.
The guy who just did darkness falls might pull off either a good despair or manybe even destiny.
I have more but my mind keeps drawing blanks at the moment.

hmmm....jake gyllenhaal as daniel. that'd work.

just the other day I saw a tall, lithe man with messy black hair, high cheekbones, deepset eyes, and a brooding pout. very morpheus. the sexy unknowns are out there: all the casting directors have to do is look.

my death vote goes to christina ricci, and the white oleander girl would be good for delirium.

There's a guy who works across the street from my house who is a dead ringer for Dream if he just stuck his hair in a blender for a moment. Not sure about his acting skills, though....

no comments in this, I don't know enough actors, just had to mention the name.

Magic will find you, if you let it.

Ralph Fiennes would get my vote but isn't this just an academic exercise? Who would want to see the it made by the philistines that have the rights to make a movie?

Neep. Just found an old photo of an aquaintance from the Czech Republic. He's Dream. Hair, pallor, coat, height....

*now quietly freaking at not having noticed this before, possibly because the guy in question smiles more*

Not much I can contribute to casting Dream, most of my favourites are already up and being pushed/bashed. But I had to join just to share this one

Desire : Michael Jackson.

If you go back a bit. How ambiguous and disturbing can you get?

If a movie is made of Sandman I will spend the rest of my life in arkham asylum eating my cell mates, because any movie would just kill the comic book. If you read the "Neil's Movies" section of the site, there's one part that outlines the difficulties they had before. The strength of Sandman, beyond the ingenious story and the way that it all came together, is that Mr. Gaiman really knows the strengths and weaknesses of the medium, and tries to utilize the strengths and get around the weaknesses. A movie could never be surreal enough to truly portray the land of dreams.

PS. If a movie ever is made, I want it to be in a few years, when I'm famous, so I can play the corinthian. Smile <god I hate these things

I hate when I make some statement and then I start thinking and have to contribute my other thoughts. If a movie were made, I like the idea of different people as Dream, and I especially like the idea of Neil as Dream, maybe the hardworking, "bury myself in my craft" Dream. At least two of the introductions to the collections said that Dream and Neil are very similar. If a non-English actor plays John Constantine, I will throw a fit, although it would be better to showcase Constantine in a Hellblazer movie. Maybe one of the guys from Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels. As for the others, Desire was semi-patterned on the lead singer of the Eurythmics. But they should be different actors and actresses as well.Look at all that stuff, contradicting what I just wrote. Maybe it's time for a nap.

...but I've allready found my Morpheus. Gerard Butler is my casting. Authority, dark, good, moody looks [maybye a hint of a speech impediment, but who cares, as long as he looks *so* right]

i had a brainwave when i saw this topic - because i'd recently seen these pics of adrien brody (the pianist). he's definitely got the look (tall, thin, brooding) and he CAN act.

what do you think? or will the nose be too distracting? Big Grin

from the other posts, i think jude law's perfect for lucifer!
