You are a Confectioner. Who can take a sunrise and sprinkle it with dew? Actually, that's Bob The Enchanter, two doors down on the left. But you make delectable treats, which is no simple feat considering Oompa Loompas won't be invented for three centuries. Not only do you delight with your sweets, but you've paved the way for a new profession: dentistry!

Anything by Gaiman she'll love, and everything's good, but good gift ideas (especially, in my opinon) would be:
* The Sandman: the Dream Hunters -will this be in the Absolute compilation? It's a Sandman story but it doesn't belong to the series... the illustrations are fabulous!
* Stardust, the illustrated version with art by Charles Vess. Especially since there's a film being made and stuff.
* Maybe one of the audio books/story collections? Coraline (CD), read by Neil, is great.

The novels are all good, I think (American Gods, Anansi Boys, neverwhere, Good Omens with Terry Pratchett). There's different editions all the time, so it's your pick really, whether hardback (nicer) or paperback (easier to carry around, plus cheaper so you can buy her more Big Grin).

If your friends into graphic novels, the original Books of Magic is pretty cool and has some killer art as well. Make sure you get the first one though, because that's the only one Neil wrote.

Has she read all the novels? I think they are all in paperback now, so they're pretty affordable.

And I'm not sure about this, but I think only 1 volume of Absolute Sandman is available now.

For graphic novels, I'd recommend anything by Alan Moore, Hellboy, Lucifer, John Constantine Hellblazer (there's lots to choose from in that series). Grant Morrison is another comic writer who's amazing and has a huge body of work -- maybe Arkham Asylum (a Batman story that Dave McKean, who did all the Sandman covers, illustrated)?

Another amazing gift would be the Sandman Duscovers (all the Sandman covers, by Dave McKean, compiled into one volume, with explanaiton's by both Neil and Dave about each one of them, plsu a short story by Neil).

Also, Cages by dave McKean is amazing.
