Well, my feelings are kind of low because the 1st edition hard back Sandman's are not going for much these days, it seems. I bought 5-10 new at the book store. I had to hunt down 1-4 to make my set complete. My love of the books are good enough but it makes me sad to see that the world at large does not value them that much these days. I paid $150 each for the signed first edition hard back copies of sandman a year ago at a book store that sold rare and hard to find books.
It seems they have gone down in value. A lot. That reflects on neil's value. It's market and demand. The higher the books go for the more appreciated Gaiman's work is. The price reflects all over market value of neil's work. I'm feeling sad. Oh, well. I love them and one day I'll give my set to my little children. Selling them was never an option anyway. I love them too much. This message has been edited. Last edited by: adrienne, |

I'm almost insulted that the Sandman 10 volume 1st print hardcover set sold for only $227.00.
Surely the world knows they are worth much more. Surely the world knows that Gaiman will only get bigger. How can his worth be going down? Yet it has. A lot. Humans can be very stupid. I wish I had never seen that ebay link. I'm enough of a misanthrope already. Well, they are still treasure to me. Even if the human race can't see it. This message has been edited.
