Hi guys. This is my first thread so be gentle. ^_^

Oh yeah and for anyone who hasn't finished the Sandman, beware of spoilers.
So like the title says, has anyone ever dreamt of Dream? It would seem almost like an honor <sorta like meeting a celebrity> considering most people do not notice the dream king lurking in their dreams.

I've had 3 dreams about him.
Two were of his incarnation as Daniel. It was so bizarre because for some reason he happened to be teaching <i guess> a drivers ed class. 0_0
I don't really remember the other two, they just happened to be those weird dreams you remember in pieces as you wake up.

So has anyone else had the honor of meeting the Dream King in his realm? ^_^

Without fear...

I always have dreams that take place in (enter name of comic book, novel, or video game I'm currently spending time on) or where I'm talking to (enter names of individual characters in comic books, novels, or video games). In the dreams where Morpheus appears, or I think of him in the dream, it's usually because I'm dreaming something weird and I wonder if the thinks I'm weird for having the dream... I feel comforted by all of this only by the thought that it's just a dream and I don't usually have much control over what I'm thinking in said dream. haha

I haven't dreamed of Dream himself, but there's a sort of recurring presence in some of my dreams that takes many aspects, and I reached the conclusion that it must be the same entity most of the time. He belongs more to the realm where my mind goes when I dream than to any other place, so in a way for me he'd be the closest thing to Morpheus.

i once dreamt i was death, in the park with him, tossing bread at him

that is the only time i ever saw him away from the comics or books

and he came to my dream after i had reread the sound of her wings so it was not unusual that i had that dream--tho i am a lucid dreamer so i dream a lot of what i am thinking about

Heh, that's a cool one flapper.
I was actually thinking about dressing as Death for halloween but i need to find:
1. An ankh.
2. Black hair dye that isn't permemnant. XP

On another note, I had a dream a while back about John Constantine. I think we were playing cards with demons. -_-

well, i'm not sure, it might have been him. it looked like him certainly but his hair was very long and straight and his eyes were all blue rather than black Confused . he said something about territory and me being confused. (If the endless DO exist (which i half-believe and really want) it might be a hitn as to the fact that I was kind of in the realm of despair (I was seriously depressed at the time) The territory thing might just be the fact that i'm notorious among my friends for daydreaming) or maybe it was just me telling myself to cheer up (why am i self-evaluating my dreams?

because there's not enough time for me to fangirl over everyone in the world...

Once. I was looking out of a window at a skyscraper on which there was a huge poster. Dream's face appeared in the poster. He looked at me, and then he was gone.

Understand we'll go hand in hand, but we'll walk alone in fear.

No, but Xerxes has.

quote:
and lo, I suppose, in the night he saw a vision like this, as is said by the Persians: Xerxes thought a man, tall and good-looking, stood over him and said, “Are you indeed changing the counsel taken, o Persian, to not lead an armed force against Greece, although you have spoken publicly of the assembling for the Persians of an army? Hence neither, if you are changing the counsel taken, are you doing well nor is he who will pardon you near. Rather, just as in the day you took counsel to do, go that of the ways”. He, after he had said that, Xerxes thought, flew away.

I think a few times -- once I dreamt of some other human lover Morpheus had taken who later entered the Dreaming to work on the staff. One of the rare times a relationship didn't end horrendously badly, I expect. In that dream, Death had been replaced with someone male, and older, and nastier.

More recently I dreamt I had entered the Castle Library, in a series of rooms that had been opened for the public (normal dreamers, that is) to browse around in. I wandered around in it, passed Lucien writing something in a book, and found I'd left the library into a very tall hallway with black and white marble. It was very well-lit, probably sunlight. I kept walking and found a number of ice statues, that were of Morpheus and Daniel and another woman.

I don't know who the woman was. It might have been Lyta.

At the expense of sounding like a total loon:

I dreamt this before I ever heard of Sandman, in fact, I think it was this dream that made me hunt the books so obsessively (they are quite hard to find where I come from).

I was sitting in the back of a bus with friends. We were on our way back from the beach. At one point they were all busy with something else on other parts of the bus, and I found myself sitting alone next to a man dressed in black. He had a silver motorcycle helmet with him. I talked to him a little, but he was rather off-hand and seemed to be pre-occupied. He said he had come to fix something, and that now his job was done.

He sat for a few moments, as if catching his breath, and then he was gone. I think I fell in love with him a little.

I have been looking for him ever since.

It was only two years later I found out about The Sandman.

Now you can call me crazy Smile

I wouldn't call that crazy. I haven't dreamt of The Sandman, but I had dreams about Shade The changing man where I would see parts of the story before they were printed.
