Posted OK, I`m not sure if I`ve opened this thread in the right place or not but I`m currently reading "The Kindly Ones " and I have the two Death stories on order but I`ve heard that Vertigo have continued the Sandman franchise without Neil and I`m not sure whether any of these, esp. "The Sandman Presents" are worth getting in their own right and to what degree they remain faithful to Neil`s vision of the Endless... Posted Hide Post I've enjoyed the sandman presents stuff. thesally is cool edit: I've found the endless tend not to turn up, it's the minor characters, thesally, the johanna constantine, the imortal asian who's name I can never rember, but lived under a name like winnie the pooh, the boy from the land of funerals that was at the worlds end. am I making sense here, I'm trying to remember without going back to the comics, which are in one of the box's under my desk, but I don't know which one. ~ I prefer to live in a country that's small, and old, and where no one would ever have the NERVE to wear a cape in public, whether they could leap tall buildings in a single bound or not. trolls are like pigeons..keep feeding them and they keep coming back and shitting in your street.

I`m just a little worried that with other people writing them they won`t be the same people anymore and I`ll end up feeling cheated. I`m not sufficiently knowledgeable about who collabarated on the original series, the quality of their work and the degree to which Vertigo might dilute the franchise to make sales to be certain. Posted Hide Post i'm up for guys i like working on Sandman... Bruce Timm, Warren Ellis, Frank Miller, Zombie Jack Kirby, Vampire Will Eisner... guys of that quality. Neil seems to feel the same way, since he gave Grant Morrison permission to have Daniel fight a giant starfish in JLA i like Lucifer, am lukewarm about the other spin-offs, and didn't like what i read of The Dreaming The Suburban Howl

In the past few days, we've been getting a *huge* amount of Notifications that are bouncing back to the mod email. If you've noticed that you haven't been receiving your normal notifications (ie, new posts, private messages, etc), please make sure that gaiman.board.mods@gmail.com is in your email's safe list.
