Some time ago, someone mentioned the idea of a Sandman series on HBO or some such. I think that would be a great idea. As an animated series, the entire Sandman run could eventually be dealt with, as well as new stories. Each story could be in entirely different styles (Anime, etc.), and the characters designed differently for each one.

My question, though, is this: Has HBO ever made any gestures to Neil, et al. about this? Have the creative people ever made a gesture toward HBO? We fans have thought of this; has no one else? Has anyone ever asked Neil about the idea? Will I ever stop asking stupid questions?

Anyway, please respond!

Eric

Oddly enough i meantioned it but then again somebody else could of as well.

I'd love to see it in high quality animation like Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust was made.
That Anime was so romantic witht he themes and stories.
It was an awesome gothic tale.

I wish they would so something visually with the Sandman.I want to see that world come to life.

Good point, Volumedealer1.

Since the land of Dreams is fluid, so much could be done with it. The style could vary from George Herriman-esqe to Dali. So much to explore. So much to do.
