Well , I checked the seller didnt change the picture yet. urggggg. You know I was kind of hoping that maybe the shirt is wrinkled or something thats why it doesnt look right and that maybe a different pic would make it more noticeable . Well I will check back later to see if the pic was updated and will let you know oh since no ebay link how will i get the new pic to you?

*facepalm*

Holy shit, I think it's Odin. Now I hafta go look it up.

Yeah, wide-brimmed hat, carrying a staff....

Pretty sure.

EdIn: Dammitall, I've seen this picture. My brain tried to say Odin right off the bat, but I had to second guess myself.

*is slowly going more crazy than usual*

The art looks like Michael Zulli's. At first I thought it was Alice Cooper (from The Last Temptation) but then I read the Sandman thing.

*looks again*

Not a clue. Could be Odin, but to me, the thing he's holding looks like a horn more than a staff. But maybe it's just me.

Ah. I couldn't tell from the picture.
Okay, I'm going to go quietly (for me anyway) mad until I find out.

Because I know I've seen this picture.

The seller updated and here is what they put in the description maybe it will help ." I was told in a email that this might be a character from a Neil Gaiman Series of books. Im not sure if you can see it in the picture but up in the left hand corner above the rim of the hat there is a womans bust and I really cant tell what the other thing is . It almost looks like a seashell but then it has a rope going to it. and then what on first glance looks like a pencil but then at the top there is somelines going through it like a thread or smoke Im really not sure . This is definatly one of those pieces where the harder you look the more pictures in a picture you find. "

I'm not familiar with the image, but the answer is simple. Yes, it's The Sandman. Why? Only three characters from Sandman ever had shirts with just them on it as far as I know: Sandman, delerium and Death, and death and delerium are girls. I don't think there'd be enough of a market for a, for example, Destruction t-shirt, being more minor character.
Several of the Sandman T-Shirts had original (not culled from the comic) art. If I had to guess, this would be a non-modern era Sandman ala when we see him during the various Hob tales.
The new picture on the ebay listing doesn't help much as it's slightly out of focus and there's no obvious artist signature (which is no surprise). Reminds me a bit of Zulli or Talbot, but I wouldn't say it's necesarrily either of them.
Was trying to find the link to the Sandman collectibles page. One of our posters linked it in 2001 or 2002 (I was thinking maybe Ivory but that didn't pan out) but I can't find it now

There is one thing bothering me about this t-shirt, and it's the "the" in "the sandman". I don't know why, maybe it's the uppercase, or the fact that it's the same size as "sandman" (in the comics, the "the" was sometimes omitted or written in smaller font, right?). But then again I've never seen the sandman t-shirts so maybe I'm giving it too much importance. But it kind of bothers me, and I'd be tempted to think as well that it might be homemade.

(Also, I'm trying hard to think of when did the Sandman wear such a hat, coz he did wear some 3-point hat in the Hob issues, for example, but I don't seem to recall a round hat.)

That's something I look for in a shirt though - something that makes people who stare at my chest go insane

But I thought staring at your chest already did that.
Oh wait, that was your chest without a shirt.
Go blind too I imagine.

Thanks JP for asking that Big Grin
(I thought they might be Zoe's, but then I realised that they'd be waaay too big for her. Unless it's the perspective or she has abnormally large feet for her age.)

*wishes they're NOT hers coz now she calle dher abnormal*

oh, that photo was taken by Rain during the miniboard meet in Cali opening weekend of MirrorMask during one of many moments of silliness, so they're her feet in front. The background is either Tongster & Joccy's house or Jena & Matrix3's house (I think the former), so it's a nice mesh of boardians in that pic

As for the t-shirt, I see they have 2 copies of the shirt on ebay now which makes me lean towards home made
