threadjack I haven't seen MacGyver since it originally aired, but I still think of that show when I hear/read/whatever Murdoc[k]. /threadjack ~ fLame Woosh ~ Elite Special Force Procrastinator, trained in High Arts of Extended Coffee Breaks and Master Linguist of the Water Cooler Conversation

...ooh, remember the ep with Murdoc as the director in the wheelchair, wanting to hurt Penny and get MacGyver, where he wrote that cryptic note? Murder is in the air Under the temple of Ra Death awaits On the final Curtain ...how cool was that? I was so impressed at the cleverness in that episode! :-D *ahem* back to the Jacks. I'm still fresh out.

see, it's been so long that I remember nothing about anything involving the character except the name and that somebody got left hanging from a cliff at some point. I'm more impressed by your recall than by the cleverness of the episode. also, I'm geeking out over the temple of Ra bit. seriously, does the man just have a thing for Egyptology? ~ fLame Woosh ~ Elite Special Force Procrastinator, trained in High Arts of Extended Coffee Breaks and Master Linguist of the Water Cooler Conversation

oh, yes...hanging off a cliff, blown up, drownded, burnded (sounding like Eliza the witch here! probably. That episode scared me so much (I was about...11?), but everyone at school was jealous that I'd been allowed to see it, that I pretended I'd been really brave about it. "I'm not a madman, I'm just....really determined...*peels fake face off* Eek! So yes, The note stuck in my mind. I have a thing for catchy wordthings :-) Haha- the egyptology was only because of the Cleo Rocks! musical Penny was starring in... But yes, RDA and egypt seem destined to meet again...

fun stuff. my bro-in-law realized he was adopted because of an episode of MacGuyver. and my sister remembers the episode in question. how's that for fate? and it's all thanks to MacGuyver. ~ fLame Woosh ~ Elite Special Force Procrastinator, trained in High Arts of Extended Coffee Breaks and Master Linguist of the Water Cooler Conversation

Wow. He is all-powerful! All Hail the omnipotence of MacGyver! (yes, that's without a u, btw

(I can never remember how to spell it. I remember something about the u-less spelling, and think, "well, that must be wrong! I will spell it with a u!" and then I am wrong. ~ fLame Woosh ~ Elite Special Force Procrastinator, trained in High Arts of Extended Coffee Breaks and Master Linguist of the Water Cooler Conversation

Back to the Jacks. I'm adding Jack of hearts from 'Alice in Wonderland". You know the one who had to paint the white roses red. +++ Life is too short to read a bad book.

of course, the initial post could have meant http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_of_Hearts , rather than your one. So I guess you're off the hook.

Wait, I thought it was supposed to be fictional characters only? Jack the Ripper was a real guy, wasn't he?

Jacky Legs Jack T. Chance (a green lantern from DC comics, I believe)

Who knows? I see him more as a media persona. I admit that it is a debatable position. --------------- Bah! Humbug!

There are probably theories out there about Jack the Ripper being murders done by multiple people. I read somewhere though that handwriting experts think they found the guy, but they will probably never know for sure. But if it were multiple people, then Jack the Ripper would indeed be a fictional character. Good enough. =]
