"Jitterbug Perfume" is among my all-time favorites. Didn't like "Fierce Invalids" as much as everybody else did, but it was okay.

Reading Villa Incognito, and was pleasantly surprised at how it helped me understand Ghibli's Pom Poko

A hearty second on loving Jitterbug Perfume. I've also read Even Cowgirls Get the Blues which is great, and Still Life With A Woodpecker which left me a bit disappointed.

Searching for "perfume" brought up Tom Robbins (now there's a memory - he was my "Neil Gaiman" at one time!)

I read his books religiously for a while. Really wanted someone to make a film of Jitterbug Perfume but after Even Cowgirls get the Blues I was doubtful one would ever be made (now somebody will tell me it did get made and it flopped!) I loved his stuff...
Never heard of "Fierce Invalids" though?

Oh, "Jitterbug Perfume" is my favorite of his, but I can't imagine it as a movie at all- mostly because you can't smell movies. Smile
