i guess the problem with molly/case is that she is an engima. the story really is from his point of view, so we know he is a loser, with the potential to be scum. where as from his point of view she seems clever, sexy, professional and dangerous - not at all like a loser, even when we know some of the things she has done to become who she is. so who she is becomes an assumption- with the biggest ones coming from her expression of how he reminds her of johnny and thats where it makes any sense.

From her point of view I never put alot into the sex thing. (Not untill MLO.)

What is in it for her?
A roadside attraction on the way. Something to do while waiting for action, while waiting for the next kick. Some cheap, uncomplicated fun.

I read Neuromancer years ago. It's probably worth a re-read, but I just recently finished Spook Country and honestly, I really don't feel like reading more Gibson right now.

It's not that he's not good... It was just. Enough. Now. For a while.

Yikes! And here I was, thinking that wearing a baseball cap and turning off my cell phone would do the trick.
