AND it looks like Faye's going away for a bit. Maybe Pintsize can have some focus again, although I'm sure we'll get plenty of Dora/Marty relationship banality. How about a Pintsize and Raven side project. That`s Dora, not Raven and I`m not sure why Jeph does it unless it`s about allowing his characters to voice thoughts they might not want others to hear. It`s noticable that you never see thought bubbles in QC and thus encourages me to look on those asides as a way of defying conventions whilst upholding it..

Dunno if anyone remembers this, but when Martin says "If my life was an opera it would be written by the Fiery Furnaces" that means, in short, that his life is weird.
And might contain pirates. And getting molested in the trunk of a car, if I understand certain lyrics right, which I might not. But mostly that his life is weird. Anyway, the relationship stuff is cool but I want more indie rock jokes! Anyone think Marten will hook up with Hannalore? Anyone at all? |

But it was explaining that specific reference. Also, Waits and Meloy are more... unified? Stick to one style? Aren't the axis upon which the entire universe revolves? They're all weird, but you can usually point to a Decemberists or Tom Waits song and say "Its about pirates" Or "its about circus freaks". The songs on Blueberry Boat go from pirates to childhood memories to made-up people to... everything. ohhhhhhh... if his life is an opera written by the Furnaces, then maybe Marten is Alex from Franz. Maybe. I'm finding it harder to relate to the storyline the more girls are interested in Marten. The first strip was PERFECT, but now there's all this relationship stuff and he's got girls after him and... bleh |

Sweet tea. Oh yum. In the south it tastes better because (1) they put a TON of sugar in it and (2) because they boil the sugar in so the sugar gets cooked and tastes really mellow and smooth. If you just add sugar in to tea, it's not the same.
