I'm leaning towards the lifetime membership too, as I've already hit my 200 limit, and I know I've got more books than that that I just haven't entered yet...

I have found a way around the limit. If you look at someone else's catalog and add books it doesn't get angry at you as it does if you search for books to add.

Its a great idea, but I don't really haev the time to add my books to it. I know if I started, I would want to add them all, rather than stopping at 200. But between us, George and I have about 2,000 to 2500 books...

I like the idea of this, and I'm on the site, but why would I pay for it? I don't see anything about the site that would especially make me want to pay for it. I have my books in front of me, and I'm also pretty nuts about cataloging what I have.

Woo, just listed all mine. JUST enough for all my books.

*looks at aitapata's list* Dude. I've got work to do.

"The other night I dreamed that King George VI was dead, and that Helen Hardinge had somehow or other got herself proclaimed Queen of England, and that I was detailed to go and tell her that it wouldn't do at all; and when I did this, all she said was, 'You see, I am really Queen Mary,' and I said, 'Oh very well' - words to that effect, and woke up.

Last night I dreamed that Eisenhower came to stay with us, and he insisted on being put to sleep in the dog kennel, with a collar and chain about his neck."

Aitapata's list is truly a thing of beauty.

I'm having fun looking at other people that share books with you guys - it's neat to see why your libraries line up.

I've joined! And begun the process of listing. I will do more this weekend.

Fluffy, the way around that is to use the search feature to look through all users libraries, that is how I was able to add above 200 books without getting a paid account.

Wow, this thing is cool, but it's sort of the antithesis of my style. I would lose my mind trying to list my books. My husband and I have an unknown number of books in English and Chinese in pretty much every room of the place, just strewn around on tables and floors and sagging bookshelves haphazardly. The bad side is financial--I have multiple copies of good books because I can't find my copy when I want it and end up having to buy it again, then the first copy turns up in the dog's bed or something. The plus side is that I find things I'm not expecting to find and have had some lovely and oddly timely discoveries.

Hope you don't mind if I quietly look at your lists, though. Nice to see what others buy to keep.

Funny. I thought I had more books here. I guess I have a lot more at my Mom's than I thought.

*needs to get more bookshelves*

Marshdrifter was trying to register on it, I think, and Bravus might be on there. I could be wrong.
