Has anyone here read the comic adaptation of Paul Auster's City of Glass? And if so, what did you think of it? Did you know the novel beforehand?

I read it years ago. I loved the art, but I frankly didn't 'get' it. But then the only work by Paul Auster I've ever been able to get through was "Smoke/Blue in the Face".

totally unsurprising. "city of glass" is completly "ungettable" imo. but i'd like to read the graphic novel tho, didn't know there was one.

Ooooh, did not know such a thing existed. Must. Find. Now.

About Paul Auster in general: The New York Triology might not be the most "gettable" work of his. I seriously suggest trying out novels like Oracle Night, The Music of Chance or Moon Palace.

Are you a fan, Thirith? I have been for about two years and the novels just mentioned are my favourites. If you've read The Brooklyn Follies, what were your thoughts on it?

Actually, I haven't read anything apart from City of Glass and Ghosts (finished today). I can't really say whether I like him so far, but perhaps I'll make up my mind after reading the third novel in the trilogy.
