I think that this was mentioned earlier on in some similar topic about Harry Potter. I think that perhapes the Dumbledore that died was actually Albus's brother. This would mean that Dumbledore is still alive. I think that the one we all know and love was Fawks for the last part of the book.

Unfortunately we must accept the fact that DD is dead. This is per JKR herself (her charity reading in NY this wk). She told guest that readers "need to go through the five stages of grief" and accept this as fact. She also informed the audience that DD will not be pulling a Gandalf. So we shouldn't be expecting a silvery white DD to come and assist HP.

I've been listening to Mugglenets' podcasts, and one of the casts makes mention of the egg's riddle from GoF and how it could it relate to Sirus B. Has anybody heard of this?

What about Tom Riddles shield for special services to the school( Chamber)? could that be a Horcrux?

Here's the riddle from GoF and in () is what I think it could mean.

um....heres a thought....when voldemort killed moaning myrtle, he might have made a horcrux.....and that means its in the school, and harry HAS to go back to hogwarts, at least for a tiny protion of the book.
