I haven't read any of "Amber," his big series, but I found "Lord of Light" both innovative and engaging, and although I though it lost focus a bit at the end, I heartily recommend it.

Isle of the dead! Lord of Light!

The Amber series isn't quite as good as those but it's rich and imaginative.

"My name is legion" and "today we choose faces" are also quite good.

I like most of his books, he's always flirting with concepts of death and immortality. And his imagery is amazing.

I read the Amber books a long time ago and rather enjoyed them. I would always get confused at the end and wondered if I had missed a book somewhere because things don't seem to quite fit.

I tried to read Lord of Light and could never get into it. I really should give it another shot though.

I liked A Night In The Lonesome October, I think. I do know that I adore that title.

I've heard that title recommended before but I didn't know it was his. I'll pick that one up first, thanks.

I really loved that book, but it's not typical Zelazny

You're kidding, right? That's a yes. He's one of my favourite authors.

Lonesome october is excellent, and while it may not be typical Zelazney it still carries all of his trademarks.

How about Jack of Shadows?

I liked the first couple of Amber books, but I thought Jack was a really good piece of writing - even though I completely hated the main character by the end of the book.

I haven't read anything else, but I need to

BTW, google 'Jack Kirby Lord of Light sketches'. They're what they sound like- Jack Kirby concept art for a movie that was never made, and they're exactly as good as you'd imagine. Since seeing them I can't imagine the world as anything but... Kirbyfied. Kirbyriffic. Kirbyesque. You know what I mean.
